The front fog lights are neat, and that is the cutest little tow hook I ever did see. But unless there is a meaningful suspension kit (different arms, springs and shocks to actually get more travel out of the system) then it is purely cosmetic.

Living in CO I did put a slightly oversized tire on (235/60-R18) for winter to get a touch more clearance, and if it were practical to add 0.75" of ride height without losing downward travel (not possible with spacers alone), I would do it.

I wonder if this their police interceptor Mach-E with some lipstick on it for some headlines. A beefier suspension with more places for lights.
Who knows what the story behind this is. We basically need more details, if it has lots of upgrades you use that to drum up interest but based on what has been shown (A rally vehicle with open diffs lol) I see this as nothing more than a cheap cosmetic exercise to try and drum up interest to combat flagging sales numbers now the GT/PE is rooted firmly in last place when it comes to the performances EV choices in its class.

Is it just me, or has anyone found anything more than just this on Ford.com?

Was there market research showing people wanted something like this??
Yes, we all complained about not having a tow hook on our North American spec Mach-Es, so this meant we actually desired a rally spec Mach-E instead. Makes complete sense.

I have to say I kind of like the concept. I don't think there will be much in terms of performance, or else they would have already told us. So it doesn't seem like anything big, but whatever, why not.

But boy, I agree with this:
Looks like something a 16 year-old that just started working at a vinyl wrap shop would put together ?
How ugly of a design can you make. I'm kind of getting early 2000s vibes when Photoshop was suddenly a big thing.. that's when people might have thought this looks 'cool'. Only good excuse would be that this is kind of supposed to be one of those concealing test mule designs.

I'm just glad this wrap is probably not going to end up in the production version..

Aren't the bulkheads in the EU and UK mandated to have tow hook holes? I seem to remember they have that requirement there.

I see this, which comes off as a minimal-effort attempt. Then I see the Ioniq 5 N, which looks incredible, and I ponder what that indicates about the EV product trajectory for Ford and Hyundai.

just the same 60 second video done over and over with someone else commentating.
I was looking for a run, or anything from Goodwood

Edit:

https://www.goodwood.com/grr/event-...ach-e-rally-debuts-at-2023-festival-of-speed/

Aside from What looks like a Prem AWD (Take that you 5 second limit folks!) with tires I'm only impressed with the fact it didn't appear to jailbar them.
Could just be unbridle extend.

I see nothing in that video that replicates the explosive acceleration we get in a GT down low.

Remember the first Mach E GT video that came out around a track (before any deliveries?) it was “so fast it made me sick……”

We had no clue about the 5 sec limit then and it looked faster than this rally car video:

The sun shade is not my cup of tea. Then again, I don't like the sun shade on the current car either. Both are aero nightmares. I think the concept is interesting. It might make for a decent duck hunting Mach-E, but I'm not buying a whole 'nother car for that (hopefully that ugly wrap isn't concealing a glass roof). I wish they gave us in NA the stupid tow hook and luggage tie-downs to start with (does this even have them, or is it neutered in the cargo area like the NA MMEs?). I guess I'll go sign up to get notified about specs. ?‍♂?

EDIT: LOL I went to Ford's web site and can't find a blessed thing using their internal search. ??

Yep, which is why I think it's a Prem AWD with a GT front and painted calipers with stickers. I can push mine that hard and not have it shut down, I think. lol.

The tow hook is probably the best feature I see. Maybe they clearly labled the jack points in red too, so tire shops won't fold the battery in half.

C'mon Lee, you know North America doesn’t have snow, or mud, or gravel, or sand, or...
