BlueCruise Hands Free came "free" with my 2022 Premium. Free in the sense that the hardware and a complimentary 3-year subscription were baked into the price of the car. I use it every day I commute to work (3 times a week, 98 mile r/t). I would be willing to pay $200 a year to renew the subscription when it expires in ~2 years. But $800? Hard pass.

You are in the minority finding handsfree "usable". I've put thousands of handsfree miles in, and love it.

I knew, as did nearly everyone, that it WAS a subscription feature with 3 years included with purchase. I expected to pay $200 a year. I probably won't pay $800 a year.
Same here. I'm willing to pay up to $365/year.

I’ll for sure do it because my first renewal will be after I get BC 1.3 and is $600 for 3 years. After that who knows.
Yup. Some of us 2021 owners still have the ability to renew at the originally promised $600 for 3 years once our trial is up at the end of this year. I plan to buy that renewal which will take me through the end of 2026. After that? I might be close at that point to changing cars.

We will not pay more than $200 a year for BlueCruise. My wife uses for driving to work which is 55 miles one way and mostly expressways. She does drive our Hyundai Ioniq 6 one day a week to work while her car charges. She prefers how the Ioniq HDA2 works compared to BlueCruise. It stays centered in the lane, has auto lane change and will move over for vehicles encroaching on her lane which are supposed to be features of BlueCruise 1.3. HDA2 isn't hands free though but she only has to lightly touch the wheel once in a while. It also doesn't nag you to keep your eyes on the road. HDA2 is free. So the current BlueCruise only gives her some hands free driving. I'm not sure if it's worth the $200 a year.

As already noted, the handsfree option is a subscription.

There are other subscriptions you signed up for. Ford's BlueOval network for charging. Connected Navigation with traffic. When those expire, they stop working.
But navigation still works after expiration.

I find BC1.0 unsettling for the front passenger, since it constantly hugs the right side. Also, we rarely ever drive on the highway, so our use it limited to a couple short road trips a year. Even a $200/ year fee is probably unjustifiable. I’d be okay with $100/ year.

As someone mentioned above, there are many other ‘connected services’ that expire at the three year mark. Ford is looking to monetize all of them, not just BC. Hard pass.

Aside from a meager stretch of several miles that I rarely travel, it does not even work in my area despite there being many miles of divided highway roads.

So, that's a hard pass...

It does work more then just that one area, Ive driven to OC mainly thru Delaware though, and BC worked just about the whole time there and back. I havent driven 50 yet to see if it works that way Though

Yes, down Rte 1 it works until you hit around Dover. It does not work at all on Route 50 until you hit Kent Island.

I'm already paying ~$800/yr to use this vehicle (vehicle registration). Which I think is too much already. I can live without BC.

But navigation still works after expiration.
Yes, without Connected Navigation. No more traffic, weather, GOM adjusting to weather (?), navigating to chargers (?).

Luckily I’m one of the ones that is supposedly still able to get the 3yrs for $600, I’ll do that come Jan. Im work from home so dont really use it that much, but for the road trips i do take, it is very nice. I still have 1.0 so 1.3 should make it even more enjoyable. $800 a year? Nope

You are correct, except I think you will still be able to navigate to chargers that were in the map prior to expiration. You will not get map updates.

I use is and love it, would I pay for a subscription? It depends on how much.
I would like a reasonable one time monthly option.
The current level they are talking about charging not a chance would I pay that.
