Gotta say I'm still more excited about this vehicle than any product in a long time, and the photos and tidbits I've received from this thread makes me feel a little more connected to it and the place where it is being built. The rest of 2020 has been a dumpster fire so I'll hang on to the good feelings a little longer. I just feel truly fortunate to be able to obtain one, even if it's just a car.

You were the best thing on this site. Thanks for all your contributions and energy.
you and the other "insiders" ARE the best part of the forum.....you provide us with info, not opinion, unless you say it's an opinion......all the back and forth is ok, as long as it remains civil, some can do that, some NOT.....on another thread, I used the old term "beer muscles", when guys would have a few, and suddenly get tougher, here I like to say "internet muscles".....when no one knows you, and you are not face to face, it's easy to forget how we should talk to one another, even if we disagree......to all the "insiders", please remember how many of us appreciate what info you give us, "good or bad", haha.....please continue to info us of whatever you can.......IGNORE those who seem to get something from the aggressive behavior......well, here's hoping we continue to hear from you guys/gals......if you celebrate, Merry Christmas and a better New Year......

Also from the other side of the ocean the posts of @trutolife27 were highly appreciated, was always looking forward to news submitted by him... especially in these harsh waiting for OKTB times ?. One of the first things I did is press ignore on the guy(s) who made him decide this...

Yikes hope it's not either. Just caught up reading 20+ pages. What a roller coaster. I was mostly skimming fast only really slowing down to read @trutolife27 posts with care and attention and the great pics! I think we should start a GoFundMe to bring him back and keep the haters away!

(Only half joking) ??
Ford, like many organizations, has hired and contract employees. What you are seeing here is the uncertainty of employment that comes with being among the contract employees. It's not surprising to hear of contact workers being cut when finances are tight. You will note that the jobs described are not in production or assembly.

Yep. That's why some are hired as contract employees rather than direct employees - because it's a temporary assignment (during a work surge) rather than a permanent one. In fact, that's the common term that such labor used to be referred to as - "temps". Somewhere along the way the term shifted to "contract", but it's still the same thing in most cases... a temporary hire.

I posted “inside information” a couple times that I had spent a week or more hunting down, because it was important to my buying decision. I wasn’t treated nicely because it didn’t match Fords Offical stats, so I stopped.

as far as info passed onto here. Done with it everyone have a wonderful day and enjoy whatever car you buy. For a few of you, I will pass on info from today.
Trutolife27, I know you will enjoy the Mach-E when you get yours, as you have already told us. You have set an example of a "good person", have always come across to me as one of high integrity, clear thinking, and patient posting.

I apologize if I have ever given you offense, such was never my intent. Over the last months, I have taken to looking first for certain posters here, of which you are one. I, too, have now ignored a couple of posters, something I could and should have done long ago, as suggested by some. I have also learned from this Forum Membership to work harder to keep threads on track, be positive, and contribute to helping others - all of which you do as part of your Self. Bless you and Thank You for your contributions. I sincerely wish you and your family the best for the Christmas Holiday and the years going forward!

Not the brightest bulb in the pack for sure, but I don't think it was a debate. More like being called a liar based on nothing other than someone's less than full understanding of liquidated damages. But yes, if someone says "A told be X", even if "X" turns out to be wrong that doesn't make the messenger a liar.

Life is too short to waste.
Seriously?! THIS people! THIS is why I DESPISE “social media” and tend to avoid it like the plague.

I’m saddened, but not terribly surprised. I’ve seen this happen on other “social media” where company employees attempted to engage with good will

This.

There are a handful of Ford "insiders" on this forum and a couple of others with access to a different group of insiders. They're not getting paid by Ford to watch over this forum or to spoon-feed us information about the MME. They're just like the rest of us, they're buying a Mach-e from a dealer and trying to lend us a hand in understanding the car and pointing us towards information we might otherwise miss. And they're all doing it for free.

Each of the Ford employees here has different jobs, whether that's @trutolife27, @RonTCat, @hybrid2bev, or any of the others I'm too lazy to look up atm. They're using that insight to help all of us (and themselves) better understand the MME and how Ford Motor Company is dealing (rather successfully IMO) with the sh**fest of a year 2020 has become. Nothing they say here is proprietary, nor will they reveal the "secret handshake" that will get us our MME's before the end of the year (darn!), it's all nice to know information that has set this forum apart from others and from the "Brand T" forums.

When someone with a background in Ford's leasing/finance division tries to explain how things work and are shaping up to work for the MME, it's generally a good idea not to argue with that information. You can disagree that the product isn't appropriate for you, or that it might not be competitive, but arguing the fact of the financing or leasing existence is beyond absurd. It's also discouraging to that employee.

When someone involved in the ins and outs of production at Ford tries to explain how things work and why they work that way at Ford, arguing the point is absurd. And when they're trying to assist you in gleaning information about a competitor's product so that you can make an intelligent decision, where does "bite their head off" appear in the script?

And we haven't even mentioned the non-Ford employees like @ChasingCoral who have done so much to help us understand where we're at in the process.

Give it some time and let's see how Ford plans out the shipping of the mass of cars from the Cuautitlán Assembly plant so they can finish the OKTB requirements.

A bit more decorum and a bit less vitriol would be appropriate. And yes, I'm guilty too. That's why I get to say it.
Thank you! Said with much more eloquence than I could hope to manage!

Well I would say overdramatic is what started this entire Forum. I mean A Mustang SUV, but wait, an all Electric Mustang SUV. The most Dramatic Thing this 100+ year old Corporation has done, right up there with an all Aluminum F series! Ford started the drama so a spot of it here is definitely appropriate!
How many people here know the TRUE origin story of the Ford Mustang? Hands please. Lee Iacocca’s Mustang was originally an inexpensive “sporty” car put together out of Ford Falcon bits and pieces. It wasn’t a “sports” car. It wasn’t a “high performance” car. All that came later. It was originally a mass market sporty car that created a segment that didn’t really exist in the US market. So, people whining about how the Mustang Mach E isn’t a “real Mustang” should stop and think a second. Perhaps a “real Mustang” would more appropriately be a base Focus with a coupe body style and some aero kit and wire wheels? ???

The mache is good to go with OKTB but the hold up is getting the shipping plan into effect. The mache is no flaws ready to go everything has passed have a drink and enjoy your family.

The hold up is getting the logistics done with shipping. Ford wants to move around 3,500 units in the next 3 weeks.
I'm not saying you will have 3,500 at dealers sold and consumers have in 3 weeks. I'm saying by the last second of the third week they want 3,500 loaded and on the move.

Covid is hurting everything. We all need to take a deep breath and see none if this is going to go as planned. No matter your auto manufacturer. Any items we are trying to buy in the next few months we are going to have a hard time finding. I hope we all can understand that.

Now back to the car. This week I drove all 4 models of tesla. Each had its things that were great and each had things the other tesla model did better. If the mache better at everything it has then tesla? nope. But overall is it a better vehicle than the model Y? Based on my opinion and what I have done, yes it's better than the model y and the mache is just amazing.

Hope we all can hang out and talk and everyone keeps things fun. No one is always right. But let's try to keep the info we know as facts correct. That's the point of this to help each other to choose what is best for us. Part of the reason many of your youtube vehicle testers don't post too much on forums is that the drama if people don't like what you say (even if facts) they get vindictive with words.

Tesla, Ford, VW, whatever you pick hope it works out for you. I think we all can be happy that you're choosing an EV though.

December 15th right at that time should be a great time for us all and a lot of info we can talk about. Can't wait.
