But did this update mess with the radio presets (for one last time)? ;)
I hate to say it, but it appears so. My first row was correct but the rest were all random ones. Tried switching profiles, which had different presets, and they all had the same. Oh, well, hopefully the last time or mine is the exception and everyone else’s is fine.

I got this too, thought it might be EA program related.

Shut the car off for 10 minutes and try again. They usually come back after they download from the cloud.

Not in my case, I guess. Went and tried right now. I think it may have kept the random presets that were on my 3rd profile and just mirrored those across all 3 as that was the profile I was in when the update happened (since I was planning to do it via FDRS and it puts my seat all the way back).

I checked to see if it made any fixes to my issues, but no.
  • You still cannot permanently disable alarm interior motion sensors, even though there is a setting to do just that. They re-enable after every key cycle.
  • When you tap “max defrost” once, it turns on. When you tap that button a second time, instead of turning off, the HVAC goes to Auto Medium. Why?
  • Ford still has not enabled electronic frunk access for 2021 J1s despite us having the same frunk latch actuator as everyone else.
  • You have to tap into Settings to open the Trunk from inside the
  • At top left of the Home Screen there is a clip art house button to open the app tray (which Ford sometimes refers to as the Home Screen even though it is not a Home Screen - it is not the screen that comes up default, it is an app tray.
It does appear that Ford has now fixed the remote start to guest profile bug, but evidently this happened sometime ago - it was never in any release notes.

I can confirm this update added a new EA Beta feature I opted into. Nothing else to say as Ford was clear we should not discuss this online. I did play with it a bit this morning.

EDIT: This looks like just a coincidence, not related to the new Beta.

The ACM (radio) controls none of those things. It's a separate module from the touchscreen interface (APIM). ACM just is the AM/FM/SAT tuner and handles audio input and output.

I know what you're talking about, but the ACM update didn't add it. They can add things like that separately without it being an OTA. The timing is just coincidental. Some people got the feature before the ACM OTA has happened.

Ah, that makes sense. It was just odd, I got the email saying I was enrolled, then I drove 30min later and took the inhibit. So was this an OTA that wasnt logged? Or was it just pushed in the background? I suppose since they did get my VIN on enrollment.

Yeah I think it's pushed or switched on in the background. The ACM OTA installs the regular way.

So far the ACM OTA is being pushed to 2021's only.

It's possible this might contain some volume or chime changes.

Good to know. I usually refer to this post to see what can be OTA updated and how.

Out of the 44 possible modules in the vehicle (depends on trim/options) 37 are able to be updated over the air. Here is the list:

The modules that cannot be updated are the ACM (Audio Control Module)

What is interesting is this chart (directly from Ford) says no but obviously it is because it updated on my car last night. I'm going to see if they have revised this list...
