Has anyone had good luck getting the Mach-E serviced from any EV-knowledgeable San Diego Ford dealers?

I have used the Ford dealer in Encinitas and thought their service was good. They actually picked up my MME and then returned it when the work was done. I have only used them twice, and was for some fairly straight forward warrantee work. The service advisor was very professional

I had a pretty dismal experience at Kearney Mesa Ford. Just after the recall for the HVJB was announced I got some alert in my car that seemed like it could be related. I took it in for that, and also gave them a list of other minor issues like auto high beam and auto wipers not working. They had the car for 2 weeks and resolved most of the minor issues with software updates, and said they installed the software update for the HVJB recall (which had already installed OTA before I took it in).

About a week later, I was up in LA for the day and got the dreaded warning and loss of power related to the HVJB failure. I was afraid I was going to get stranded there but was able to charge the car and get home. I took it back in the next day and told them it was the HVJB, and told them the auto wipers still weren’t working, and a couple other minor issues. I didn’t see my car again for 3 months. It took them 2-3 weeks just to diagnose the problem!?! After 2 months they finally figured out what they needed to replace, ordered the parts and started the repair only to realize they ordered the wrong parts, and the parts they actually needed were on back order. Finally after 3 months they had that problem fixed, and then spent another day working on the minor issues that they hadn’t even looked at yet. That was last summer, so hopefully they’ve figured stuff out a little better since then, but I don’t plan to find out.

Gosch Ford of Escondido seemed good, but I just took my car in for a minor service, so don’t really know how they’d do on bigger jobs.

That's where we ordered and bought our '21 job 2 MME (ordered 5/21, delivered 4/22). They were above board for the whole process, no shenanigans. When the car came in, they had it hooked up getting all the OTA updates -- it took a whole day.

Service-wise, it's only been in for the standard service -- rotate the tires. I dropped off the car, they gave me a ride back home and a ride back to pick up the car.

They have a ton of MMEs on the lot now; possibly true for lots of Ford dealerships, but even back in '21 they had a few and we were able to test drive.

Bought my MME at El Cajon Ford and they have taken good care of it. They would not do the windshield/sunroof recall. Anyone have a good experience in SD with a dealer doing that recall?

BTW... We're having a Mach-E Meetup in North County for anyone that is interested. It is this Sunday at 10am at the Carlsbad Windmill. We can talk about which Ford Dealer provides good service!

I bought mine at Encinitas Ford and they did the 10k service, as well as fix a wiring issue I had due to rodent activity. No complaints, and their shuttle service is handy.

When my HVBJB failed I had it taken to Ken Grody in Carlsbad, and they were also very good. They pleasantly surprised me by completing the replacement in 6 days.

any experience with Sedano (formerly Penske)? What about Perry in National City? El Cajon service still good?

Don't bother with Perry Ford in National City if you have any connectivity issues.
They kept the car for 48 hours, did some TCU and GWM self tests (per PTS), said come grab it, should be working now. Same exact error on fordpass, zero connectivity on vehicle and can't toggle any connected services.
First they blamed my phone, said they updated all the moduls (they didn't), then and when another phone didn't work, we escalated and the manager blamed "global Ford connectivity issue" for which they couldn't produce a bulletin.
I see Ford dealer customer experience is as good as always :|

Yes El Cajon did a good job for me with the HVJB recall. They also offered the glass recall but I am holding off on that until I get a chip. Guillermo was great. Only downside is I had to bug them to enter my recall in the system so I could get it off Fordpass. Just had 40K service with them.

Sedano Ford so far has also been a disappointment in the service department. I spoke to the service manager, pushed out my appointment, came prepared with a GSB from ford OTA team and now the car has been there for 2.5 days and they haven't even looked at it. I'm not sure what's happening at these ford dealerships specific to Mach-Es but this has been by far the worst customer service experience I've had for a relatively straightforward issue.

El Cajon will be my next stop for anything new...
