Caps for access holes drilled for 12v battery?

I followed this template. I printed it out and it worked great. Just make sure you print it at 100%. I did not take the cover off, I was just very careful drilling and vacuuming as I went along.

No just a chick that didn't want to hassle taking the cover off. The pressure is on now though, if a chick can do it, your husband better be able to do it ?

Used the template as provided in this forum. Drilled out hole without removing plastic panel. Vacuumed out plastic debris. Placed in caps.

Small brass pry bar to remove as necessary.

I got these. I did 2.5" holes. Easier to access. I did take some pliers and sorta pushed in part of this so it isn't too hard to get out. As is, they will seal just fine, but sorta hard to remove. But they are perfect if you just push in catch. They match the surface of the mach e too.

Do you have a picture with the plugs out? I’m curious what it looks like and how easy the terminals are to access with the cover on. I hope I never need to know, but should have the knowledge just in case.

It is very easy as the cuts are right above the access points. I cut the holes with the cover still on and had no issue, just go slow

Likewise. Use very little, almost none, pressure on the hole saw. Let it do the work.

Do you have a picture with the plugs out? I’m curious what it looks like and how easy the terminals are to access with the cover on. I hope I never need to know, but should have the knowledge just in case.

Since I don't drive a lot, I have had trouble with some of the OTA updates that require the battery to be at ~90%. This works like a charm. Just plug in for like an hour and start the update.

Just following up....Hubby got it done....didn't take the cover all the way off. Much thx for the links to the hole saw and caps. Turned out great! (And the battery Ryobi vacuum fit in the frunk perfectly to vacuum up the debris).?
