Rear Door Won't Open From Outside

Brand New Mach-E, had it for about a month (but got it right before going abroad so only drove it the past 2 weeks).
Out of the blue, the rear driver side door will not open from the outside. The push-button doesn't work, no unlocking with key fob, unlock button or phone or of course simply pushing it doesn't work. It lights up, and only opens from the inside.

Separate note, it feels like shoddy assembly of the driver side door. There is a constant whistle/draft noise coming from that door, as if there was an improper seal...

Look at the driver's door one of the buttons by the windows controls child safety locks make sure it's not engaged. I had the same issue with my car

That didn't do it. It can be opened from inside, not from outside.

That's actually correct, but was worth a shot...

I have a '23 as well and in the past few weeks this has started to happen. Same door as the OP rear drivers side but it happens intermittently so I'm hesitant to take it to the dealer just to have them say they can't reproduce the fault and send me on my way.

There are known problems with the "presenters" - the little thing that pushes the door open. There have been software updates but you might have faulty hardware.

The issue seems to have resolved itself, so until it happens again, I am saving myself the inconvenience of a trip to the dealer, given the time it takes for them to look at the car, perform any work and then get the car back.

The best approach to deal with most non-critical issues in these cars is to wait 24 hours to see if the issue goes away. They often do. Gremlins.
