For those that have cracks in the roof, could you see them from inside the vehicle or did you have to look from overhead?

I hear pops a lot when pulling out of my driveway and the hvac temp is a large delta from the outside temp. I don't see anything from inside though.

This happened a few weeks after getting my car. It was covered under warranty.

- can you tell me which dealership made the warranty repair, and when so I can direct FORD to this? (Thanks)

Mine were only visible from outside.

No - I cannot see the cracks from the inside - I believe this is due to the lamination of the layered glass.

Auto insurance will definitely cover it, but zero deductible glass coverage isn’t offered in all states.
I believe it's counter-intuitive for me to submit a claim on my insurance considering this is a FORD defect.

That may be your only option if Ford won’t cover it and you don’t want to pay out of pocket. You should first ask Ford what the warranty period is for the roof glass. If it’s the same 1 year as the windshield, it won’t matter if it’s a defect.

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Mach-E concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.
It's been 40+ days since this occurred, and I've spent 2 full working days making contact with FORD, going to dealers, and speaking with John Lazo with the BEV team - which dept. are you in, and are you able to assist with this - ?? My next step was to go to corporate if there is no ownership from your warranty dept.

I presently have a '20 F-150 Lariat in my driveway, an '08 Bullitt Mustang, a '91 LX Mustang, a "69 Mach 1 Mustang, a '57 T-bird, and a '79 F-150 in my garage. So, I've kept up my end of the bargain with regard to Blue Oval loyalty...I expect FORD to support me.

And I really don't want to burn allot more time with the same runaround...
you have the details in this thread, you can see that others have had the same issue - (almost identical) - and it was supported under warranty.

If you can help me - Where can I contact you directly?

Thank you.

The pano roof should be covered with the standard 3yr/36 warranty - I also have a premium extended warranty. But yeah - I hear you. I will take this process as far as I can stomach before I put this through insurance on my dime.

The windshield should be too. But it’s not.
I don't disagree, but fortunately the windshield isn't a concern at this time. Although there is also an open recall on the re-sealing of this too.

This may explain it.

Also, the issue with the OP’s story is that it happened while driving on an uneven road.

That’s kinda like bending the rim of your car when you hit a pothole. NOT a warranty item but a car insurance thing.

Very different than people whose roofs cracked while sitting still in the first year of ownership. Hard to blame manufacturer defect a few years later.
I wasn't driving the car in an extreme situation, certainly not like hitting a pothole, and the car has 4,000 miles on it - it's a non-starter IMHO.

You haven't had the recall done yet? Hasn't it been out for years?

Long story for another thread, and another time, but the car has sat for 1.5 years unused. I had major QC concerns with the only Ford dealership within 1.5 hours - 7 trips back for the same issue on a 10R80 transmission - If they couldn't manage a repair on a major component that has been in service for over 5 years, I wasn't going to let them touch this car.

I have never heard of 0 glass deductible so I am not sure we have it in Texas. Wish we did as I paid around $1400 to replace my windshield :(
