Hi folks, sorry we didn't check the forum until now and are behind with the emails. We tested the new BLISS chip and not sure why this batch is still acting up. We'll process the refund this week. We'll email you individually for the process. Sorry again for this frustrating process.

So is there a way to get a working set or are we forced to a refund only?

I just came back from being out of town for two weeks and my Suma mirrors were waiting for me. I have a lot of things to get caught up on but thought I would pop these mirrors in since it literally takes 5 minutes. Unsnapped the OEM mirrors, removed the wire connectors, popped on the Suma's, cleaned them up and done. I was the happy camper until I turned the car on and noticed the BLIS indicator on the mirrors did not light up during the self test. I thought maybe these did not do this so took the car out and found out BLIS was not working at all.

Came to this thread and saw that everyone was having the same issue. Guess I should have checked here first but just figured they would work. A couple of months ago, I put these SUMA mirrors on my GT500 and a friend's Maverick and the BLIS indicators work great so never thought there would be an issue with them on my MME.

Because I am the kind of guy that likes to tinker, I started checking the wiring thinking maybe SUMA reversed the polarity on their connector or something. I tested the voltage on the 2 wires going to the BLIS indicator and it is 12V. For fun I reversed these two wires going to the OEM mirror and it would not light up so these wires do need to be the correct polarity going to the indicator. I made sure the connector going to the SUMA mirror was good and the 12V was getting to the little flat circuit board on the SUMA mirror wiring just before the indicator light and it was. I reversed the polarity and still nothing. Then, decided to bypass the that little circuit board and go directly to the BLIS indicator and it lit up. The polarity did make a difference because it would only light up one way. I figured I would test this out on the car and I got both SUMA mirror BLIS indicators to light up properly during the self test when the car is first turned on. However, there was a new problem, I got a warning that the BLIS and cross traffic alert systems were no longer active. So apparently even though I was able to get the BLIS indicator on the mirrors to work, the BCM does not like the circuitry it sees on the SUMA mirrors. I put the OEM mirrors back on and called it a night.

We’re refunding all the orders while we continue working on the BLIS issue with our chip vendor. We did test it with the new chip BLIS design and it was performing well with no errors, but this batch, however, produce the same BLIS error.

But we do have a new set that‘s supposed to fix the BLIS error. It’s basic + Defroser + BSM (non blue). Please DM us if you are interested in installing to confirm it does not generate a BLIS error.

Thanks for the update.

I received my mirrors today. I am still willing to wait for the final working parts, but I would rather not be the tester to verify they work.

What should I do with the unopened package? Do you want me to return it? I guess you cannot sell it, so maybe there is no point in returning it.

Let me know what I should do (and the rest of us in the same situation). Thanks.

I’d also like to wait!

Eddy, I believe you had others that were testing these mirrors for you but if you need someone else to test it, I can do that. I will be around the next couple of months so can test right away and they are super easy to install anyway. I messaged you my info.

I would sign up for to be a tester too but I'm one handed right now, so it's not feasible. I really hope you get this problem resolved. I, like most (all) the others here really want the mirrors.

If I may, I'd like to suggest that you make it at least a daily practice to check this thread, and respond to any updates. Directly below the Reply compose box you can easily watch this thread and receive email notifications when there is new content.

We can all take bad news, usually quite well. What we can't take is silence when we have legitimate concerns. Please keep up the communications.

Those are what I had, and sent back yesterday, are they not?

This is all making no sense. "We tested them and they should work, but we also have a new set, for no reason, that fixes the BLIS error." What does that even mean? You sent out a set that you said works, but now have a newer set, but aren't even sure why the first set isn't working as that is supposedly an old-new set that fixes the error from the original set? My heads exploding.

And now they go back to radio silence. What in the world. I just want them to keep my money and give me a working set with some sort of real ETA!

Not sure how long it will take before we can get the new batch out. That’s why we will refund you the money first.

My team should have contacted you for the process. If not, please send us an email via [email protected]. We’ll send you the return label, once they are received, we’ll process the refund.
