So your numbers are all rumors.
No, battery unlock and FSD costs are what they are. As for a tri-motor being in the upper 70s, that is 2nd hand information. I'd think they'd stick with the previous profit maximization strategy of starting high and dropping prices to continue to sell every vehicle they produce while producing as many as they can. I'd tax the influencers a little more because they'll buy them anyway.

Right. But my point is your CT prices you stated as though they were facts were all rumors.

I mean no ill whatsoever by saying this, so please let's not make it into a derailing moment...

The one thing that stands out to me in every Ford "meeting" with the community is the age of the representation/participants. It looks like there's one or two people under the age of 40, with most over the age of 50.

If we look at the Telsa owners club gatherings or the Rivian owners meetings with their employees you'll see that they are full of kids, young adults and older adults as well (see here, here and here). You have to get the future buyers interested in your product. My youngest nephew plays "slug bug" with his sister, only it's not "bugs" anymore, it's with Teslas. There's little to no fascination with a MachE amongst our youth and most of the people who recognize it as being a mustang are older folk who can't stand it being called a mustang.

I like the MME a lot, but Ford needs to start getting the youth excited about their electric vehicles if they want them to succeed. I think a lot of that needs to start with a revamp of their technology. I don't think it's about style as much as it used to be.
Yes... how to do this?

In the case of Tesla and Rivian, these are new brands with no legacy... no throwback styling queues or naming from 50 years ago. They are new and can be claimed by a new generation.

Ultimately, Ford, GM and others need to create some new models without resurrecting existing names and the baggage that comes along.

Yes, the UI tech has to be better... a lot better.

So how does one get invited to these? I feel like I've sold plenty of MMEs to curious people and I've never been invited to anything !

Influencers were told pricing range. Tri motor is upper 70s. The first people able to buy them are the ones who will do tesla's marketing for free since they don't have a marketing budget. What I expect it to look like is how tesla is already doing pricing. To unlock full range and "FSD" is another 21k$ post sale so it can qualify for all subsidies.

It's not an accident ford decoupled BC pricing from vehicles now. 24s no longer force BC in upper trims, and the hardware is included in more trims.
I know quite a few of those Tesla influencers and none of them have been told anything about the CyberTruck. The one influencer had 52 CyberTruck reservations and he doesn't know anything. Another influencer has zero info on price but said he heard from 2 sources that the first CTs would have 350 miles of range.

This is a good point. Our power utility (of which I'm an employee) here in Utah had an EV car show. As you would expect, the majority of the vehicles entered in the car show were Teslas and Rivians...I was the only Mache. The attendees were employees and community members, the mayor, and a small group of ~5th grade students. One stopped and asked if she could sit in my car, of course, I replied. She then asked if this was a Tesla. I said no, it's a Mustang. She looked down and quickly exited the car. While it could have been my stranger danger vibes, the younger generation is certainly more familiar with and exceited about Teslas than Fords.

I agree to a certain extent only because I know some >50 people who own Rivians and Teslas. Perhaps the exceptions that prove the rule.
Supporting your position, I've not seen MME promotions on mainstream media, which could help attract younger drivers.
On my flight from Austin to London and back before every movie I watched (11hour flight so lots of movies) there were several hotel ads(like every hotel you can think of) and only 1 car ad...and it was the Mach-E in red (my color). No other car ads. I was very happy to see it :)

He already has a few Teslas that he rents out on Turo. He is launching his own Tesla rental service and wants to have a fleet of CyberTrucks.

A number of kids in my neighborhood recognize my car because of this marketing campaign from 2021. I thoroughly enjoy taking on the “youth” in some Rocket League matches.

Likewise, a ton of elementary kids at multiple school bus stops along the way during my daily commute recognize my car then point and/or wave. This happens on a weekly basis during the school year.

I think your YouTube channel or TikTok channel or whatever has to have more than 100,000,000 hits per week or something

This isn't a "tesla" influencer and asked for verbatim what they were told.
