(un)Stuck at 6.1.0 - 2021 Only

I have the Connected Services menu that comes and goes, and FP has been acting really weird the last couple of days. The CS menu issue started after 5.1.1. I did a SYNC reset and the menu came back long enough for me to turn everything back on. Seemed like everything was good until 6.1.0 installed...

I have the same thing happening. I reported the problem with Connected Services breaking after the 5.1.1 update and this actually resulted in the 5.1.1 roll-out getting paused until they could work out why some cars were losing Connected Services after that update.

I got the 6.1.0 (Gateway) module update ... and I thought it went well (Connected Services was working) and then a few days later it wasn't ... and then a day later it was again. And as of yesterday it's broken again.

I was trying to figure out if something was trying to push an OTA (e.g. 6.2) and having the Gateway module crash in the process?? I honestly don't know why Connected Services is going up and down -- but it isn't current stable.

I believe someone else reported a long time ago that there is some limitation that means MY2021 Job 1s can never have a power meter?

I don't recall anyone saying that it can never happen. Not that that means that it ever will.

So maybe I’m confused, but I have a Job 2 that came with the BlueCruise prep package and according to Ford “ BlueCruise renewal for model year 2021 vehicles purchased with the optional BlueCruise Prep Package* is available at a discounted rate of $200 a year for three years or $75 a month at the end of the customer’s initial subscription period.”

Does that mean I’ll get the discounted price? I’ve seen some people say it’s only Job 1.

Yes, you're confused. If you have a Job 2, $600 for 3 years of BlueCruise was included in the price of your car. Job 1 owners never got that opportunity, which is why it is still being offered.

Yes thank you. I should've clarified it's only job 1 vehicles that get this. In other words, the ones that shipped before BC was a available.

OK, so the evening after posting that I wasn't getting 6.1.0, I drove down to Denver for dinner and 6.1.0 got installed while having dinner. Coincidence?

I guess I'm now in the '21's stuck on 6.1.0 camp (though its only been 12 hours since I got 6.1.0).

@Hammered has reported he's been able to do all updates via FDRS except for the 6.3.0 TCU update.. which could suggest that's where the issue lies

I just received confirmation that 5.1.1 came through, nothing beyond that. Still waiting for 6.1 or 6.2

I called the ota team at 1833 389 0848. My 6.2.0 update is having issues. They seemed be able to see the failure and said it would push again in a week
