I wonder if Tesla is expanding their test sites or if this is the start of a major rollout. There are some big CCS bottlenecks out there that could use some relief (Quartzsite, AZ anybody?).

FYI for others... It took me a minute to figure out how to get PlugShare to show Magic Dock locations. First, set plug to "CCS/SAE". Then set the Network. I was looking for "Tesla" the app Networks list and was only seeing "Tesla Destination", but the toggle to use is "Supercharger"

Yes, the agreement calls for 3,500 Superchargers with CCS capability by end of 2024. This is separate from the Ford/GM/etc. deals.

There are 8 chargers! One for every EV in Alaska! Just joking but until a month ago there were only a couple along a 350 mile stretch. I just wonder how much they will be used as I would always charge at home for 17 cents versus the 65 cents they charge and there is just very little EV highway traffic. Great for those that will use them though. Our local DCFC has a 2% usage rate and it has the same price as home charging.

I was charging my Rivian in Quartzsite last month at a RAN site. There is a brand new Tesla site going in there, apparently to replace the existing ones. It has 84 stalls with solar canopies. It would be nice if they put in Magic docks, I could not get close enough to see if they had them or not.

The existing Tesla site there has 36 stalls, but is in a different location than the new ones.

More are showing up - there's now 1 in CT close to I91 near the Mass. border. Also noticed 1 in the MD sticks - Easton.

And a few others are showing up in the south and Midwest. Fun to watch this network grow.

I noticed that these chargers do not have any pricing information posted on Plugshare. How does pricing info get to Plugshare. I realize you can get pricing in the Tesla app, but it would be nice if it was posted on Plugshare to compare with other chargers or is that the point.
I noticed when pricing for EA changed, it was posted on Plugshare soon after.

Alaska has just picked the 9 successful NEVI applicants that will be built along our 350 mile primary corridor. Four of the new sites will be Tesla. I know we are not the normal but I drove the highway last week (ICE rig) and there were zero vehicles charging at the existing chargers as I travelled both north and south; however, I did not pull off to check out the newer Tesla site. I do know they are all used occasionally as I check the logs.
