Can any of the performance be measured? Pressure initially then any loss over some duration, i.e. tenths of seconds. Speed of brake pad activation? Pad pressure on rotor?

How would we do that?

Have the right equipment, I guess. I just wondered. Seemed like a lot of anecdotal conclusions that could be confirmed empirically. I have no idea if such equipment exists. Just asking.

I get You. I'm sure setups like this exist but unfortunately not at my house.

My two brothers are engineers and never EVER let me forget it. But i don't want to give them ideas here...

nice mod.... but considering I hardly every touch the brake pedal, and I am not planning to rally or autoX the MME, I think this one is not for me....
There is some misconception that the brake pedal controls the brakes in any mode (esp 1 pd). if you turn on the power meter with forscan, you can clearly see it isn't true, and when the physical brakes are engaged. you can engage the physical brakes just with the accelerator, you can hit the brake pedal and still be in regen, both happen.

I agree with your sentiment, i am so rarely using the physical brakes that this seems an unnecessary mod for me. they tend to engage just for a few seconds at the highest speed then go over to regen, and i try to brake entirely in regen. i consider any time the physical brakes engage a pilot error ?. that wouldn't be true on the track but i don't consider my rwd with er battery trackable.

not to disagree with op without data, but given how rarely i go into physical, i wonder if the change in feel might be placebo.

+1 --- this is an excellent mod for motorcycles and is where I 1st learned about it.
It makes a night and day difference on motorcycles, mostly because there’s no power assist. I’m surprised it would make a difference on modern cars because the brake pedal is somewhat disconnected and doesn’t get much true feedback. Especially on the Mach e where half the travel doesn’t even operate the brakes lol.

...and my description specifically mentions that I am describing the bottom (second) part of the pedal's travel lol.
