I was hoping to try v.1.3 before my free trial ends 12/31/23. Should the OTA for version 1.3 have been already downloaded? I can’t decide whether it’s worth renewing.

That’s what the 6.x updates are all about. No one has made it to full BC 1.3 operation yet. What Power Up are you on?

6.1 unfortunately.
You don't have BC 1.2 (referenced in the thread title). You have BC 1.0. Since you're receiving the 6.x updates successfully, you're already on the way to BC 1.3. Whether or not it will arrive before the free trial of 1.0 expires is anyone's guess.

I don’t know how to check the bc version. I thought it was 1.2.

My software updated to 6.2.1 last night.

The only cars that have 1.2 are 2023 models that came with it from the factory.
Okay..thanks
And just to clarify, nobody knows how to check their current BC version, as far as I know. But, perhaps it could, in theory, be intuited based upon all the versions on all the modules in your car (which to my knowledge you can only find out through FDRS but someone will absolutely correct me if I'm wrong on the internet).

2021 and '22 = BC 1.0
'23 = BC 1.2
‘23.5 (build after June) = BC 1.3

I think Ford is going to see a lack of renewals on Jan 1. mostly because of totally dropping the ball on 1.3 getting out. I mean they should totally ignore the other 50% of us pissed about a slower L2 charge speed and just keep to trying to get $800 a year for something they might deliver OTA someday. (Yes I know BC1.0 exists but it's also kinda not 'worth' $800 a year)

Honestly, why would anyone pay to continue with BlueCruise?

The combination of Lane
Centering plus Adaptive Cruise Control does virtually the same thing, other than Hands Free.

I for one am not about to take my hands off the steering wheel. so really, whats the point?

I’m in the same opinion as you. In CT the highways are too congested for hands free. To me it’s no better then ACC and not worth the $200 per year.
