How Long Does it Take To Produce/Build a Mach E?

Hello,
I've searched the forum quite a bit to see if this had already been answered and couldn't find it. I am curious how long it takes to build a Mach E? My 2023 was said to have been in production the week of 10/30, although I have other communications that show it was being built the week of 11/6.

I currently have an offer from Carvana to buy out by 2021 for only $500 less than its worth. And I can get into a new 2023 Mach E based on a locked in incentive from September that the dealer said is still good when the new car arrives. All told, I will save some money - and get a new car. If I can just time it right. But I don't know when this new car will be done. And - I only have 6 days to finalize and sell my car to Carvana ugh!!!

Assume at least 6 weeks from finishing production to arrival at dealership. Sometimes it's faster, and sometimes slower, but usually 6 weeks is the fastest.

My Mach took 12 days to build and about 70 to deliver and that was smooth. Issue is there can be delays in production and shipping for many reasons.

Do you already have a VIN + window sticker? Also, check out the build and tracking links thread and check to see if all the modules have been loaded. Our amazing build week member last year (03/14/22) had a tracking table in the thread; it was roughly 3 weeks-ish from Window sticker to built, modules loaded and ready to load onto the railcar.

Yeah, i just got lucky mine was shippped right away after being built. Then, tracked it via BNSF all the way to Washington. Brutal wait; but I knew the day it was delivered and literally got there an hour after it arrived at the dealership.

There is zero chance that your selling to Carvana and your new 2023 will line up. Carvana I think finalizes in 30 days or less.

I agree. I can go without a car for a bit but not sure I want to risk not getting my vehicle at all and having to buy something I don't want.

Speaking from experience, a lot can happen before you get your car. Delay after delay. Mine took 5 months to deliver after being made, and 11 months total. It’s very possible you could be without a car for 4+ months if you sell now.

I called the dealership mid-week and talked to the sales manager. She was able to go to a website other than the Ford tracking page, and it showed mine went into production on 11/8 and completed on 11/9. For whatever reason, the website isn't showing the "built" status.

However it showed that there is an "active hold" and it has not been released for shipping. Said there could be many reasons for this, and couldn't give me any guesses when it would be released.

With the VIN, she was able to get me the window sticker, and said she could see it in San Pedro Garza MX, which appears to be well north of the assembly plant in Cuauatitlan. So IDK if it's a holding facility or what.
