For the last three mornings when I've started my car I've gotten this Ford Power-Up 6.6.0 error message:

Update Postponed
The update was postponed because it was interrupted by another process.
You can schedule a time to retry the update or try updating again when you're ready.

I have Automatic Updates enabled and scheduled daily at 3am.

When I tap "Update Now", turn off the car, get the "Update will start in" countdown timer, and leave the car. When I come back an hour later nothing has happened.

Any ideas how to apply this update?

Ron T Cat is to be trusted. Those that know, know.
Not doubting him, just curious as to HOW he knows …

This requirement seems a little counter-productive. Ford touts the ability to do OTA updates but the MME thwarts the updates by not keeping the 12v battery at a high-enough charge limit to enable the update to occur. Apparently, it isn’t smart enough or Ford isn’t clear enough in its digital instructions to trigger battery charging which would enable the update on a subsequent attempt. And again, how does the average Joe know anything about it let alone know how to fix it?

If you knew who he is then that would answer that question.

And again, how does the average Joe know anything about it let alone know how to fix it?
Probably you wouldn't know your own, but that's why the fourm is here to help you out.

You can check your 12V % status here (temporary website error is showing 12V SoC instead of HVB SoC).

I too would like to know where I can find the SOC for the 12 volt battery. The link shown in earlier posts takes me to my FordPass and all it shows is the SOC for the high voltage battery. What am I missing?

  1. Open the link in a new tab.
  2. If you are already logged in, then the value under Charge Level is actually the SOC for the 12V battery and not the HVB.
  3. If you aren't already logged in, it will ask you to login which might redirect you to the main screen.
  4. Don't close that tab, come back here and click on the link again and open it in a new tab. Now you should be at the dashboard and the value under Charge Level is actually the SOC for the 12V battery and not the HVB.

The website says my 12V is at 70% so I’ll follow the post to get it charged. Thank you!
I followed the link and maybe not understanding what to look for. I can't seem to find where this shows the %of the 12V battery? Do you have to be a certain software level?

This post from PedroDaGr8 lays out a good procedure:
  1. Open the link here in a new tab.
  2. If you are already logged in, then the value under Charge Level is actually the SOC for the 12V battery and not the HVB.
  3. If you aren't already logged in, it will ask you to login which might redirect you to the main screen.

Thank you. Definitely not intuitive. I thought that was actually my overall charge level not the 12V %. Appreciate the help.

Agree, it's not intuitive, and not sure why, if they can show the SOC of the LVB on the website, not clear why it wouldn't be in FordPass. But that's the way it is (for now at least). It's possible Ford didn't want FordPass to be too "geeky" with folks worrying about these things, though we clearly have to.

As some data points, I've gotten 6.6.0 and 6.7.0 to work after getting my LVB to up to 82%--see my posts here and here and those threads for more info. I also got 6.8.0 to upload starting with 81% SOC on the LVB (it dropped to 72% after the update). I'm not sure I understand @RonTCat's point about being above 80% for 4 hours since all of my recent updates (that initially failed because of low SOC of the LVB) eventually worked, but I was never above 80% for 4 hours, either before initiating the update manually or after. Perhaps that's to provide the best insurance against failing?

I have been trying 6.8 for over a week. Now on my third flight of trying, SOC has been 90-97 every time with no luck. Lee checked out my VIN and found a weird error code related to a config mismatch. Reached out to the OTA team and they are investigating. Meanwhile I keep trying to install it lol.

It seems like every other day the car and app indicate there will be an update. I have received multiple messages in the first screen of the app congratulating me on getting 6.8. I never get a message in Messages that I'm rolling with the most recent update. Then the next day the car/app tell me I'm getting an update. Wash/rinse/repeat.

Not getting any messages saying the update failed. I even tried the suggestions for making sure my 12v is charged and pushing the update from the car. It says it is kicking off the update. But I still end up in never ending loop.

I don't really care if I get the update or not, but kind of an annoyance that it tells me I'm getting it, indicates I got the update, then starts all over again within a day or two.

?

This issue is happening with me too for the 6.6.0 OTA update. 12v battery is at 90% currently and has failed again to install due to some other "process". I've been trying the different methods for a few weeks now. FDRS isn't showing me any updates to do manually. Can anyone see if something else is possibly preventing it from installing? Should I do a BMS reset and then try?

You would need to provide your VIN for others to see if something elese is preventing the installation.
