I’m in same boat. I was going to let my BC lapse if stuck at 1.0. I was inclined to renew at the $600 for BC1.3 and beyond. So now I have to decide whether to renew on faith that I’ll actually get the upgrade.

I think @ChasingCoral is probably right that the updates will resume in January, but Ford continues to reward my “optimism” with crap sandwiches. Clearly there was a problem(s) with the first round of OTA 7.0.0. A problem serious enough that it warranted slamming the brakes on again. Is it a problem that can be fixed? Or did Ford latently discover that 1.3+ can’t work with 2021s?

Would be cool to get an update from @Ford Motor Company, but I suspect they’re running a skeleton crew this week.
I’m still curious how it’s going for the few people with 2021 Job 1s that did get the update before the “campaign” got cancelled. Of course their NDA says they can’t talk about it, but the curiosity is killing me!

According to the 7.x poll there are 8 forum members that did get 7.0 and I believe they are all 2021 Job 1 vehicles. Im sure a few of those people put that they did even though they didnt ? but I’m guessing at least half of them actually did successfully update

My car, built June of 2021 and purchased July 2021 came with BC 1.0, Hence, Job 2. I received the same $600 offer as Job 1 cars. I doubt I'm the only one.
Sounds like your car might be a Job 1. If it came with functional BlueCruise, it wouldn’t be expiring until July 2024. Or maybe it’s one of those weird Job 1.5 cars that Ford screwed up dates on.

I too hate subscriptions as part of a vehicle. However, Ford was clear from the beginning that this feature would be by subscription only. Your post implies bait-and-switch. If that is your intent, it’s just not the case.

As. Job1 owner, I took the $600 deal, because it’s the one I expected when I purchased the car.
I wasn't aware when I initially purchased the car (the dealership definitely didn't make me aware), but I'm also not implying a bait and switch as the info was out there. I just hadn't seen it.

I'm just speaking on general principle. I'm 100% against paywalled subscriptions for vehicle features. Charging for BC is their "test the waters" experiment and I guarantee you that if enough people subscribe and tolerate it, they will do the same for other things.

Take BMW as an example of what to expect:

What happens when Blue Snooze expires? Does the car simply do adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist when you activate both functions at once? Because that would actually be better.

Ford decided to quadruple the subscription price months after they sold me the car, for a subscription that's not even listed on the window sticker.

They could have listed the subscription on the window sticker, but chose not to. They could have grandfathered in all current MME owners when they quadrupled the price, but they chose not to. To me this is pretty obviously a bait and switch.

Yeah I'm a little luke warm on the way Ford is handling the BC subscription as well. On my WS under "STANDARD EQUIPMENT INCLUDED AT NO EXTRA CHARGE" BC is clearly listed with no yearly or monthly trial indicated. Under "OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT/OTHER" BC is not mentioned at all.

At time of signing my dealer did not mention anything about BC being a subscription either and none of the paper work I signed at purchase indicated that it would be.

While info about this may have been available on the internet I do think it should have been disclosed at time of purchase.

I’d pay $600 for 3 years of blue cruise 1.0. Any blue cruise version beyond that at the same price is a bonus.

And has anyone paid more than the $600 for 3 years option yet?

No. The cars that will be on the other pricing plan were not delivered until late 2021.

Interesting. Well, that offer certainly came to all 2021 Job 1 owners. Anyone who didn't get an email about it should find the offer in the Connected Services tab of the dashboard.

I tried last week but they haven't processed my new expiration date. I'm very happy with the enhanced Blue Cruise and I'm convinced it's worth it -- at least $600/3 years worth it.

The good news is the updates have been coming out. The bad news is I don't think you'll get it until January.

Fingers crossed Ford will issue an extension until we all get the new BC. They have extended service for us 2021 owners before and I doubt they will let the service expire without letting us try the new BC.

Note that just because Ford says your BlueCruise expires 12/31, they don't say the offer expires then.

No, I doubt the price will go below $600/3years. Compared to the rate everyone else is getting quoted, it's a great price.

I've renewed but I had a chance to try out BC 1.3. You can watch videos of real users trying it out here:

Come on you can't charge for the service it is so bad even the new release is bad look everyone we all know these are just expensive golf carts and that it's fine but I'm not gonna be bit by Ford overly aggressive marketing and under the under delivering on the promise of features and functionality that they can't get right and then soon delete from their vehicles

I just checked my confirmation email. It said the $600 would be processed in 5 business days or when the current subscription expires, which, for me, is 12/31/2023.

Having to "subscribe" to a feature that your car comes with and you paid for as a part of that vehicle purchase is an exploitative cash grab, full stop.
Eeh, if it is being improved, I understand the subscription model. I won’t be subscribing for 800 a year, but I might have if it was 200 per year. Problem is, I haven’t seen any improvement on my car for the year I have owned it.

Can you show me where it says that BC is subscription only? Here's my window sticker:
