Thought he was in California, mixed him up with another supporter. If he is ever in my area, big dinner. Since my wife is a gourmet chef and reviews local places, I think she can find something local. Tough staying slim just following her around.

Not a worry, it's been over 40 years and going. My memory will go first, and I'll keep seeing her from 40 years ago. . . of course, I still see her from 40 years ago in my mind anyway.

An update, dealer is "waiting for parts". Ford Customer Service called me today to follow up on my car and repair. She was familiar with the revised quote; I said the dealer was waiting for parts. She said she would call the service manager as soon as we hung up to see if they needed help. She actually had his name in her file. I will say that Ford Customer Service has followed up on this with a number of calls and has actually tracked the entire episode. Can't fault them on attempting to help.

Latest update, brace brackets to support the batteries are on "backorder" and won't be available until 12/26/23. Service manager says he will keep checking daily. Guess they will be a delayed Xmas present. I could probably fly down to the Mexico assembly plant, buy the braces and fly back quicker. Sigh.....at least I have a reasonable rental, a Toyota Rav4.

BC 1.3 by a long shot! Some have reported receiving 6.13 today so my guess is BC is right around the corner. No idea on the recall plus who knows how long to schedule once parts are available!

Right now I am waiting on parts. Car in on November 4th, part availability on December 26th. Of course I had some more advanced problems, but....I offered to fly to Mexico and bribe someone at the factory to give me the brackets they needed.

AHA, latest word from Dealer is that the parts are in and they will begin putting my car back together on Monday, Dec. 18th.

I made it less than 2 months on the replacement HVBJB. Went 3/4 throttle on the on ramp of a highway and when I reached 60mph the screen lit up with the dreaded SES message. App is reporting High Voltage Battery error. UGGGGHHHHH. ?

On the bright side, the dealer can take care of the loose screw/bolt/part that is sliding around on top of the battery pack tray when I make turns or take curves. ?

Appointment at my dealer for replacement of HVBJB set for the 28th of this month. Right at the end of the year. Taking my Mach E to Louisiana for Christmas.

Finally got my car back, Friday before New Years 2023. Everything is upgraded to the newest parts. Ford customer service kept checking in with me, a lady named Tracey, who really did impress me. I'm not sure if the parts coming in earlier were because of her help. Anyway, now I must figure out if they updated the Blue Oval software which they were supposed to do sometime during the 2 months they had my car.

Looking at the bill, I found that my 12V battery needs replacement BUT they are waiting for shipment of them. They are on "backorder". Wow, just over 2 years and less than 3,800 miles and I need a new 12V battery?! Wonder if AAA caries the battery.

Wow is right. Only 3800 miles in 2 years is why your LV battery is dead. Your car needs to be used for it to maintain your battery. I had 3800 miles on mine in 3.5 months.
