Make it work first, and prove it with a shirt (30 day demo period). More might be willing to pay.
True. Of course, what I fear is that, with the “I’ll NEVER get BlueCruise! Ford is behaving like an anti-capitalist monopolist!” (or whatever their logic is - I don’t really follow it), Ford will simply note the “decrease in demand” and BlueCruise will go the way of park assist and the hands-free liftgate. Heck, given the issues with the 12V battery and system, I’m surprised Ford hasn’t replaced that with an 8 D cell holder! (Oh wait, that would require sourcing and qualifying a new part, not just pulling something off the car. Never mind ?)

Ford will get $600 over my dead body at this point. Pay $600 to reenable lane keeping assist and lane centering that they took away from my car yesterday? No way. I can’t really blame people who aren’t willing to cough up the $600 for 3 years snd $800 for one year? That is ludicrous.

Same here, not happy about this as I don't like calling.
Called customer service today - got transferred at least 6 times but finally connected with their "centrix" (sp?) team and they said they escalated it to a different team as they weren't able to reapply the discount. They did see that I attempted to renew the bluecruise subscription on their end though.

Chase declined my payment as potential fraud last night, and I was greeted by a email from Ford saying that there was a payment error and that I needed to login to my Ford account to fix it. Was greeted by this message indicating it was now $800 for one year where it was originally $600 for three years. I imagine I'm going to be on the phone for a while with their support today to get this rectified.

Just a FYI as I spoke to Ford Connected Services support about this issue and there is no solution currently in available and that "engineering is working on it and to check back in a few days". In the interim my BlueCruise is expired on my account.

If anyone was told differently, please let me know, as different folks seem to receive different updates in the past about issues depending on who you spoke to in customer support.

I'm more than happy to pay $600 for three years. Maps and software updates aren't free, sadly. I'd rather pay to keep the technology going/improving, instead of just letting it languish. I'm also happy that it's an optional fee for people who don't find it useful (and there's of course nothing wrong with that).

Having said that, $800 per year is insanity, especially since Supercruise is much cheaper than that.

Same experience. With M&T. Escalated to engineering, which doesn't really make sense but whatever.

Oddly my maps still show that they will expire in April. No actual info when trying to manage that.
It amazes me that they've had, what, a year to think through the 5 possible scenarios to this renewal, and they dropped the ball on what appears to be all but the 'renewed before expry'.
I think I've started the 36 month ticker on the life time of this car in my garage. Down the road it's only going to get worse when this car becomes a second thought rather than current model.

The language in the “agreement” is more concerning to me. Essentially Ford reserves the right to cancel the service “without obligation” at any time, for any reason, including failing to update the car. If I am willing to pay $600, I should get the three years, regardless of the version active in my car. Stop me from renewing, sure. But another instance of something being taken away potentially. If I bought the car without OTA, this is the experience one would expect since it has been that with ICE’s oh let’s say, forever. If BC 1.0 meets the needs of the rare times I use it, it should be supported for the duration of the period I paid for it, without qualification.

And to add, as of today my car still has BC 1.0 and I have a confirmation eMail from Ford that my subscription (without reference to version) has been renewed.

Maps aren’t included in the $600 fee. Connected services is another $80 per year.

My comment about paying the $600 are limited to my own car and circumstances. Depending upon the resolution, I’ll post about that later.

What do you mean? Are you saying they’ve disabled LKA and LCA on your car? That’s odd because those features exist on Ford products WITHOUT BlueCruise (and aren’t subscription products)?

My maps are updated and have not been paying $80 a year?

Many a thing with this car(service/subscription/button/manufacturer/software release/package/option) seems wrong lol.
