I don't think I've ever heard that repetitive 1-second warning chime through the front speakers, even though I've surely driven more than 2 miles with the turn signal on. Would this be dependent on the software version?
I'm not sure if it is software dependent but my '21 does it and I am up to date with the latest software.

This is from the Ford Mach-E repair manual:

The turn signal sound (tick-tock) is the only one that comes directly from the IPC, not the audio speakers and is not adjustable. All other warning chimes come through the front speakers except the parking aid, liftgate warning, cross traffic alert and BLIS which come through the rear speakers. Also, if the turn signals are left on for over 2 miles, you will get a repetitive 1-second warning chime that comes through the front speakers.
Interesting. I definitely left my signal on for more than 2 miles, and did not get that warning.

This is interesting. I wonder what others are seeing with this.

Oh boy. I wish you hadn’t posted this. Now I want to drive 2 miles with the blinker on just to hear it. ??

I guess I will have to get up at pre-duck hunting hours so I can drive those two miles with the blinker on. Of course, my car is an aberration in that it is a GT-PE with Co-Pilot 360/Assist 2.0, so it might not be representative. ??

I don't know if I could drive two miles without looking at the speedometer and wondering why there was a flashing light on the instrument panel. I guess I'm used to driving a MC without self cancelling signals.

As a side note, in FORScsn there is a setting under the IPC for Turn Signal Speed Sensitive Volume and it’s enabled by default. After briefly looking in the repair manual I found nothing that states the volume changes with speed.

Just for the record, I don’t care about the volume of the turn signal as at the volume I listen to the stereo at I’d never hear it even if it was louder. ?

Funny you say that Steve. I get my hearing checked at the first of each year so I can keep on top of any changes. I’ve been very big into audio since I was in high school and have helped test and design home subwoofers and flat paneled speakers back in the 70’s and early 80’s. I’ve attended many rock concerts in my day and still do. For over 30 years as a side job I used to set up very large high end home theaters for a friend that owned a home theater store. Traveled all over the US to do this. I don’t listen to music loud because I’m hard of hearing. I listen to it loud so it sounds real. I like to hear the dynamics of the instruments.

My doctor showed me the graph in my test results and for being 69, my hearing is 22% better than the average for my age and on par with someone in their early 50’s. I can hear up to 12.6K Hz so that’s down from my younger days and my right ear has a 5db dip at 4K Hz. Other than that I’m doing really well and hope it stays this way for quite a while but since both my 93 year old parents have hearing aids, I doubt it. ?

LOL and here I have been hard of hearing in my right ear since I was a child. My sister used to sit to my right at the kitchen table. She is piercingly loud. I always wear hearing protection whenever I am going to be somewhere loud, especially in the right ear. ??

Well I drove for 3 miles last night with my blinker on (and looked like a genius I'm sure). No warning chime, no pop up on the display.

Unless it's in an OTA I haven't received yet, my car at least has no such warning.

I’m wondering if this is just a prank someone is pulling to convince people to drive around with their turn signals on. ?
