My wife went to the garage today, started to back out, moved one or two feet and got the Park Brake Fault Service Now message. Brake seems to be stuck on and I can’t seem to disengage it.

I haven’t had time to try things like disconnecting the battery, so I am wondering if there is a trick to disengaging the park brake manually so I can get it out of the garage and to a dealer?

Thanks

Same fault happened to mine but with opposite effect, left rear park brake just wouldn’t apply which I was fine with because Stangy’s wheels rarely stop turning to need a park brake?

Caused dealer a problem, though, because they got car on ramp, managed to get park brake on and couldn’t get it to release so was stuck there for a few days?

They changed wiring harnesses and the world was a beautiful place once again?

It sounds like I am gonna have to get it towed out by roadside assistance which I am a little nervous about. I hope they know what they are doing. ?

This is our first Ford and EV, I love ❤ driving it, but this along with the occasional glitches with SYNC and PAak and charging and car settings resetting on their own and mobile charging amber light and blowing cold air when it’s very cold out is starting to take a toll on our confidence in the model.

I talked to my local Ford dealer and they said to check the battery, and if that was ok (which it was) then there was nothing else that could be done and I would have to have it towed in to the service department. So I arranged a tow via Ford Roadside assistance. That was 54 hours ago. Still waiting. ?

I should say that a flatbed tow truck did show up this morning, but they need a wrecker to get the car out of the garage. So I actually require two trucks to show up - a wrecker and a flatbed to get the vehicle to Ford Service.

As long as the distance isn’t all that far or the speeds are kept down, a wrecker can tow the MME. They just need to employ a dolly. ??

Repaired an open circuit on my Electronic Park Brake last year. No harnesses in stock so did ad hoc repair. Now my car is stuck in the garage and it won't move with that alert.

How did they get it out of the garage?

I got positioning jacks and the flat deck driver from Ford Road Side Assistance had slides. Car now fixed with older model recall executed. Maybe some old harnesses still in bin when built?
