Tesla Supercharger network now up to 66 locations with Magic Dock (4/17/24)

There are multiple reports on Tesla forums of Tesla techs working on Supercharger cabinet hardware updates. People are finding a bunch of related permits, so something is going on. The speculation is that it's preparation for CCS compatibility.

Not sure what "charge post junction box" is. But I do expect we'll see a lot of activity removing parking blocks and bollards. They've removed quite a few at MD stations already so non-Telsa can get close enough to use the short cords.

One comment I read was that they need to upgrade the cabinets with the ability to share the amount of energy dispensed since Teslas always do it in the car, not the cabinet.

Seeing bollards removed would probably be the biggest clue that we’re imminent to seeing the opening of stations.

I'd rather they do SoCal fringes first to use on trips in/out of the area, like Baker, the Grapvine in the central valley and Quartzsite AZ.

I was able to confirm the rumor that Tesla had opened up the magic docks to support 500A. Charged my Hummer at the Glendale AZ site, previously had only gotten 137kw. Too bad they are not supporting 800V yet.
