I do not understand why people hate this so much. Get over it! It's NOT HARD to see the speed on the right side.

From Feb 2021 when I got my first edition I have had the speed on the right side of the screen because I always keep the lane assistance on and use cruise control on almost every drive I take. I'm used to it and never turn lane assist off so I never see the speed in the center. Y'all should be leaving lane assistance on too honestly.

Side note, I hate how Ford separated the lane assist and lane centering buttons. There are roads I want lane assist on but centering off and I'm not going to go into the menu to turn off centering for that one road so I just turn off lane assistance completely.

People. You'll get used to it. This is a COMMON practice in modern cars as the center car display is for ADAS information for the driver. Sure, Ford doesn't do much with it now but holy cow people why are you so angry at something SO trivial?
Sounds like you don't live in a large city where your commute to and from work entails endless lane changes. It also doesn't sound like where you live has speed cameras throughout the city handing out tickets in some places for going over 25 or 30. Try keeping a steady 25 for five blocks. I can appreciate your point of view but the perspective seems limited.

No. Lane centering works on about 1/3 of the roads here. That means all flavors of BlueCruise won't work on 2/3 of the roads. And this is not a unique problem.
I agree, Blue Cruise works mostly ok on Route 84 in NY, and on most of the Taconic State Parkway in Westchester Co, but no where else near me that I drive. Needless to say, I didn't opt in to pay for it when the free trial was over. Lane centering only works if it can find the edges of the road, which is spotty at best and seems to fall apart on corners.

Can you post a pic? I believe you, but can’t figure out what geometry would cause it to be blocked. I’ve moved my head way up and way down and moved the steering wheel in all directions, and I can’t get any part of the speedo to be blocked.
Roughly this:

I can actually see a little bit more of the speedo and a bit more of the fuel gauge. If Ford just gets rid of some of that blank space by moving it a tad, I wouldn’t need to move my head. ?‍♂?

Wow. Is that in the position where you drive? Even with the speedo in the center, an awful lot of the IPC is blocked. Is it uncomfortable to have the steering wheel up a bit higher?

Like others here, I am quite happy with the current location. My seat position and steering wheel location still allows my 6' 2" stature to see the speed limit clearly. Because the Mach E is so quick, I have to be well aware of my speed as I can easily get up to 65 in a 40mph zone. I rely heavily on adaptive cruise control to stay reasonably legal.

Thanks for the photo because I'm also struggling to visualize how people can not see the screen. Some additional information would be useful: can you lower the steering wheel and look over the steering wheel? Or can the steering wheel move further up so you look through it? And similarly, have you tried adjusting (raising?) your seat height?

I don't much care where the speed is displayed, but I don't like the prioritization of the static car icon over speed.

What I really want in the driver display is media information. Many cars show what's playing in their instrument cluster, including several Ford and Lincoln vehicles I've driven.

Media information is especially helpful when you have Carplay on the center screen but are listening to Sirius. Similar use case would be using built-in nav while playing music through Carplay. There's plenty of white space on the driver's display. A talented UI designer could add it without making things cluttered.
So you are saying you want your car back the way it came from the factory like I do.

Can you post a pic? I’m legitimately trying to figure out how it’s obscured for some people. No matter what I do, I can’t get it to be even close to getting blocked by

Yes. Hands go numb and other issues. It the wheel telescopes more I probably would not have that issue (and the window to the IPC would be larger due to angularity and this argument would likely not apply). Were the IPC lower (impossible now since it’s hard-placed there), it’d be fine. Still ugly, but fine. The placement of objects on the display are all soft-coded, so it would be relatively trivial to simply move the absolute positions. As I said, the photo isn’t exactly what I see, but it’s representative. I do see just a bit more. ?‍♂?

This is my favorite factory IP layout: ??

Of course I can move things around. I’ve had this car for just a bit over 2 years, so I have fooled with all of the adjustments. I have set everything where I wanted it for best driving position, not for Ford’s preference. Positioning stuff other than where I have it now is uncomfortable and not conducive to good driving. ?‍♂?

That’s pretty much what I see although a bit worse. I can adjust the steering wheel height to reveal most, if not all, of the speed readout but it ends up hurting after awhile. I made that adjustment before my drive yesterday and it hurt by the time I got home (1+30 each way). I’m pretty well convinced this means I need to buy a GT-PE. For medical reasons. If only they came in infinite blue. :)

I’ve seen this mentioned a few times and starting to wonder is ‘obscured by the steering wheel’ a weak argument for something people dislike, or is your steering wheel actually broken and off to the side because I’ve tried moving my steering wheel every possible way and can see the speed just fine.
For people with long legs.... the seat (and your head) have to be further away from the dash than 'median' bodies. Then, because we can't pull the steering wheel closer, a fair bit of the left and right of the display are obscured by the steering wheel.

I wish I could pull the steering wheel about 3" closer. but I suspect that the ability to adjust fore/aft has been eliminated to protect us from exploding airbags.

Totally agree.

I think it is quite amusing how some here are offering advise to simply adjust to accommodate the poor view.

Imagine if you will, if you couldn't see in front of you because there was an obstruction on the windshield and someone offers the suggestion, "just stick your head out the window". ?

I don’t think anything comes in Infinite Blue any more. ??

I think that you still need to get a Magneride car. For medical reasons. ??

... But I can't for the life of me figure out how it would be obscured by the steering wheel. If somebody can post a picture of it being obscured, I'd like to see it.
...try sliding your seat back 6".... can you still see the whole dash cluster ?
