Thanks OP for sharing this experience. Glad it worked out. And thanks everyone for sharing their knowledge. I’m a new owner here and loves seeing this community working together
Well, appeared to work out lol. Stranded again today. But hubby is coming to jump and then taking it to the dealer. I jinxed myself.

if the 12v was really low, you would have had to left a running vehicle connected for 1/2hr- 1hr to get a meaningful charge into the 12v. Not just a momentary 'jump'. It has to have enough juice into the 12v battery to start the onboard computers and keep them running long enough to get the big battery turned on and get you home if the system is not charging correctly.
I was able to get home, plug in my normal charger; start the car this morning and get to work. But now stuck here

One more odd question. Did you ever log into your Ford account to see your battery charge level?
Yes. 50% had 155 miles or so on it.

Just an odd question - did they even send a tow truck or just a van that attempted a jump?
Just the van. Hubby came with his F150 and immediately got it started. But died again today at work.

You either have a huge drain or your 12V battery is bad and needs to be replaced. Park it at the dealer and let them look at it. Leave it unlocked so they can get in with a dead battery.
Even if it's unlocked, you still need power to actuate the doors from the outside, no?

Door modules have their own backup power and will open after two button presses if the vehicle state was last unlocked.
Do we know how long those capacitors will stay energized? I guess I never put it together that they would only work when the vehicle is unlocked, but that makes perfect sense from a security standpoint.

At least day or two, haven't tried longer than that.

Just keep in mind that if it’s in the frunk you won’t be able to use it to open the frunk if your LVB is dead.
that’s a good point that has been bugging me since it came up with this hack. I was told that you didn’t need much more than a 9 V battery to trip. The leads that popped the front. I have not tested this as anyone else?

I had my 22 MME GTPE in for the HVBJB replacement two weeks ago. In the course of fixing that, they replaced the 12V battery. Two days later, the car was totally dead; tow truck came out and jump started the car. Took it back to Ford who tested the 12V battery, said it was defective and they replaced it again. No issues since then....so, my guess is the OP had a bad 12V battery- the dealer should be able to sort this out.

It's at the dealership now. I couldn't make an appointment till next week but dropped it off yesterday lol. Doesn't do me any good keeping a car in the garage that I can't drive

It was jumped correctly by my husband and then died again at work yesterday. At the dealership now so we'll see what they say.
