Dodge Omni for sureCan't decide if the R3/R3X looks more like an old VW or a Yugo. Either way, pretty ugly.
That's why its awesome. Party on Garth.![]()

Given how Stellantis prices everything (cough... $10-15K more than competitors) don't expect it to be cheap. I know Wranglers and Grand Cherokees got a supposed $5K price cut but I argue they need another $5K lopped off.I placed my R2 reservation today. But it is without many details, such as the tri-motor price, and the actual EPA range of the longest range R2s. The key for Rivian is producing them profitably, and at a price that is competitive. It is going to be very difficult. I am rooting for them.
Something tells me the Jeep Recon is going to give them serious trouble.
By the way, based on the pictures, the R2 will have significantly more interior capacity than my MME. There is more room behind the second row, and a manufacturer supported tow hitch. Two huge improvements over the MME, IMO.
Would the 2nd row legroom be more than MME or just as much as MME?I placed my R2 reservation today. Nailed it!Only thing is I keep seeing 1977 Chevy Chevette. ?
I agree on all your points Mike (though I haven't looked at the Jeep). I too placed an R2 reservation. One thing I wish was being talked about is suspension. Obviously it won't be as crazy good as the R1x platform, but I'm hoping it's in the ballpark. (And it seems pretty much certain that it will be more comfortable than the Mach E.) I really like that it is the same footprint as the Mach E but so much roomier. IMO it isn't nearly as good looking at the Mach E, but there are always tradeoffs... Time will tell whether or not we convert our reservation into an order. But it's fun getting in on the ground floor.I placed my R2 reservation today. I saw your other post about the big SoH drop. It doesn't seem right at all. Have you done a few 100% charges since to see what the EtE is?Just made a reservation too. I love the idea of a bit more space and sub 3 sec acceleration with 300 miles of range. I’ll wait till 2027, or get a Tesla Juniper if it arrives much sooner.
Our Mach-E’s SoH of 85% at less than 10k miles was a deal breaker for my wife, despite trying to explain that it might not be accurate.
I read the Stelantis CEO requires all BEVs to be sold at a profit. So you are probably correct about how they will be priced in the market.Given how Stellantis prices everything (cough... $10-15K more than competitors) don't expect it to be cheap.
