250kwh is provided with the car, it was originally only EA, not sure if that balance will work towards Tesla. I haven't read anywhere that we get more free when we get the Tesla adapter.

The 250kwh or remaining balance stays with the car, so if you bought a used one and the previous owner didn't use up the balance. You would get whatever is remaining, It's tied to the VIN number not the account.
Question for you is, does your balance disappear when you get rid of your car, and do you get a new 250 balance with your new car again?

If you sell the car, the 250kwh (or remaining balance) transfers with the VIN. So the next owner would get your remaining balance.

Every time you buy a new one, You get the 250 that came with that. With it being vin-based and not tied to your Ford account, that's why you can't share it for use it on another car.

There should be a “check the status of your shipment” in your registration email you received after registering for your adapter… here’s what mine says and there’s a 1-844 number you can call for additional info:

When I sold my '22 Lightning (trade in) for my '23 Mach E, I got 120kWh transferred from my leftover Lightning EA credit on top of the 250kWh on my MME.

I lost mine when I traded in my 22 for a 23.

From all appearances it looks like several thousand HAVE already been made and should start shipping soon.

And while the adapter is new, it appears to be closely related to the Magic Dock device that is already in use in hundreds of locations.
I’m going to not be in the Early Adopter group on the NaCS, mostly because mine arrives in May ?

Actually a May ship date *is* fairly early (just not quite as early as the April people).

They've already stretched into September now.

My 2021 MME came with the 250kWh of complimentary fast charging via the BlueOval network when I first got the car, which I used up.

When I went to reserve the NACS adapter yesterday, it said I had to first register with the BlueOval network. I was surprised, as I was already registered.

I got a confirmation email today welcoming me to the BO network:


Take your first trip on us. As a new member of the BlueOval™ Charge Network, you get 250kWh of complimentary fast charging at Electrify America®. You’ve also earned 22,000 FordPass®Rewards Points** for maintenance, accessories, and more.​

I got the same pleasant surprise too. I bet it came with jointing to the BlueOval™ Charge Network that was the first step to reserve the adapter.

Interesting, I've never seen that. I know people who have bought used MME's and got the remaining balance from the previous owner because it was tied to the VIN and not to the fordpass account.

In point of fact, it seems @ChasingCoral found an issue with EA plug-n-charge not working for him after the OTA which may just be a SNAFU on his particular car or there might be a bug in the software that will affect all. That's precisely why the rollout process is phased instead of sending them out en masse.
Yep. This problem affected both @Mach-E VLOG and us (probably other testers, too). It certainly would have hit lots of folks later. Ford worked with EA and has fixed that issue so that P&C is working fine on both now.

I think mine may have been a special case because I placed both Lightning & Mach E order at the same time (April 2022). Lightning showed up in 3 months, while my Mach E order took 14 months, changed VINs twice, shifted '22 to '23 order and had a $6500 PCO attached.

Traded in the '22 Lightning for the '23 Mach E (made money on the Lightning trade in)...

Maybe Ford felt bad for me ? ?‍♂
