I've had my car for about 6 months. Generally PAAK has worked fairly seamlessly. One time, I had to delete and re-add it and I have gotten used to not carrying the fob around...as its nice to have one less thing to keep track of and carry in my pocket. I went out to start to go to an appointment and I kept getting the orange error "no key in car" or something like that. I tried closing ford pass and turning blue tooth off and on and tried turning my phone off and on...no dice. Luckily, I don't work far from home and my wife can bring a fob over for me. I know this issue has come up repeatedly but I guess the lesson for the moment is that it makes sense to just grab the Fob and take it with me. If there any other tips and tricks to get the car to wake up and recognize my phone when this errors appears, I would love help.

Thx!

Why aren't you using the passcode when PaaK fails?

My PaaK was weird over the weekend. I ended up doing a PaaK reset and FordPass uninstall/reinstall and everything is fine now. Did you not setup a backup start passcode when you did the PaaK setup? That's how I started mine a few times this weekend.

The screen won't come on and allow to enter my passcode...hence the problem.

Yes...I did. The screen did not fire up to allow me to enter the passcode.

I also notice in my Bluetooth settings...TWO Mach E networks:
Mustang Mach E and 07172 Mach E. This has happened before as well. My wife is user/driver and I've set her phone up to work with the car. Do these networks represent separate profiles/users for PAAK?

The one with the last 5 of your VIN is for PaaK. The other one is for phone/audio functions.

I have had similar the last week or so. But, it seemed to go away yesterday for me. In my case, I'd be able to open the door, but when I pushed the power on button, it would say no key detected. I entered my passcode and was able to drive the car. It seems like it is working normally again. I'm not sure what is different.

I couldn't get the password screen up at all..so no ability to enter the password. Mach Lee told me to hit the brake button repeatedly to bring up the screen. I'm going to see if it happens again.

PAAk has been horrible the last couple weeks and even worse this week. I have had few issues the last 2 years with an update here and there that gave some trouble that usually cleared up over a few days. I never carry the FOB. Not sure if it was the tesla charging update or the latest iPhone update but it is not seeing my phone as a key and even when it does it does not want to connect to sync. I have deleted the app and re-did the paak registry. Nothing has helped so far.

First post in a long time, maybe in over a year. Had the car for almost two now. I hate, hate, hate PaaK. It’s so unreliable, but just reliable enough that when it doesn’t work it’s at the most inconvenient times. If they could fix this, along with the damn double beep when you get out of the car with your phone in your pocket while it’s still on, I’d really be loving Mach E ownership.

Paak not working for me today. Keeps trying to connect to Bluetooth. Time to ride it out again. Problem the 10th time in the last 3 years
