I stopped using the integrated nav a few months ago when my directions started getting terminated every time I got a text or phone call when my phone was connected via Android Auto.

I use Waze and Google Maps now. Neither is perfect but both are good enough. Main shortcomings are that as far as I can see Google Maps does not include HOV lanes in directions, Waze has some issues with integrating into the front display (although that has improved, it still shows distance to destination as zero on the front display but accurate on the big screen).

So no, when my nav subscription ends I will not renew it. Same with BlueCruise unless adaptive cruise control goes away when that subscription ends.

Adaptive Cruise Control doesn’t go away after BlueCruise expires. ACC is good enough for me.

I exclusively use the Ford Nav. Well worth the $80 per year renewal.
Me as well and I will pay $80 per year when my three year freebie time expires. Especially if I'm able to "pay" at that time with FordPass points.

Ford should give manual pre condition option or automatic pre condition battery while using carplay and Andriod auto(as batteryinformation sharing ).

Easy solution is give manual pre condition option.

Is the $80.00 per year worth the Sync 4 Navigation? I know I will lose live traffic and weather, I won't get yearly updates, is there anything else I'm missing that I might want to consider paying the fee for? If I let it expire can I go back later and pick it up if I decide I want it?

Thanks for the info, my other cars didn't have so many features embedded within nav.
I have never liked paying for navigation. I get along with Waze or Apple and there is not charge for updates.
Manufactures of EVs should never charge for updates to Navigation.

Since I’ve only had mine for around a month $80 years seems very reasonable compared to blue Cruise cost, I’m just not familiar with what everybody’s talking about precondition battery. I’m not understanding what that is. I guess I’ll have to look that up.

I believe I read where you CANNOT use Fordpass points to pay for the Nav. Don't hold me to that though.

The big battery likes to be at a certain temperature range when driving (when power is being used) and even more so when (ever) it is being DC Fast-charged.

For DC Fast charging, the simple way to explain the benefit is that the battery can get charged back up noticeably faster if is is within this internal temperature window as the DC charging begins.

And when we use the Ford NAV to select a DC Fast charging point to navigate to, the car will know this and attempt to pre-chill or pre-heat the big battery in time to have it at the best internal temperature window when you arrive at the DC charging point. If it cannot get the big battery into that temperature window, at least it will get somewhat close to it, depending on the severity of climatic conditions that day... meaning, it is always more or less advantageous.

Especially during long trips with multiple DC Fast charging points in the day, this can add up to considerable time saved. It is also healthier for the big battery in the long run.

Non-Ford navigation programs on our smart phones or on GPS Garmins etc. cannot do this because the car has no way to know.

You won't miss it, with WAZE and Google Maps, you are covered. I have Navigation, don't use it.
Just the police, and speed trap warnings, makes WAZE worth every penny!

just wondering.... can you make either WAZE or GoogleMaps the default Nav ? Or, do you have to fire them up via AndroidAuto?

Currently I do not use AndroidAuto since I am fine with native Nav. since I just need a map 99% of the time. I don't need blue oval charge station locations updates, or auto-speed limit settings for BC.

There is no way in hell I will pay for Nav updates for features I don't use!

I actually noticed that it’s good till 2027 so I didn’t even realize came with those three years. I thought only the blue cruise had three years but both those do.
