The Mach-E J1772 port maxes out at 32amp. That provides you with 7 point something of kw input. Going larger will only push your input to 8kw.

The Cost of a good 32amp home charger is around $200, some a bit cheaper. A 40 or 42 amp home charger will run you twice that. Anything higher than 42amp must be hard wired,

So unless you have another EV that will use the higher charge rates from a 40amp or larger home charger, save the money.

I bought a Shockflo 32amp for $219 from Amazon as it had 4.25 stars. Been very happy with it. It does not have an app to track charging or ability to connect via wifi. Those features will cost you.
I believe it is the Ford mobile charger that is limited to 32A. My '23 Premium ER AWD has been charging happily at 48A / 11.5 kW on the hardwired Emporia charger I installed.

Ford says the system max out at 32amps. Even says so in the 2022 manual on page 161.

Ok. If that's what you want to believe, then go with it. Here is what Ford's service manual on the Mach-E states:

My charge logs show (as an example) 41.62 kWh added in 3 hours 39 minutes, which calculates out to around 11.4 kW. The increase of 41.62 kWh aligns with the 46% increase in charge the car stated it received, and the charger was reporting a current of between 47 and 48 A.

I don't know if this changed or was improved in the newer production, but this 2023 was built in Sept, so it should have all of the Job 2 changes.

Yeah, I just stopped using my Ford portable charger and installed a Wallbox Plus 48A charger and now both my MME and Lighting are charging at a 11.1 Ah rate (nominally).

And if the J1772 on the vehicles is limited to 32A, then why is Ford giving Ford branded "Charge Station Pro" EVSE to Lightning ER owners (mine's sitting in the box in the garage), that are capable of charging up to 80A on a 100A breaker?

Take a look at the specs here.

Regarding a home charger, you might also check your local electric service provider if they have any rebates. Our local electric company kicked in a $200 rebate on my Chargepoint Home Flex which has functioned flawlessly for the almost 2 years I've had the car.

That is a little confusing, but note that it lists "power draw when idle", and "cable length", and "weight". Those things tell me they are referring to the Ford mobile charger.

I made friends with the sales guy and they said they will do it.
Uh-huh....well as the man said "Trust but verify" so when you get the car hop on over to the VIN FDRS request thread and ask somebody to look up your VIN and see what actually did happen.

I love the car and tested some of the driver assist features today and explained them to my wife. Earlier tonight someone slammed on their brakes and I had to swerve out of the way. I was bout 5 inches or so from hitting them and the car didn't do anything about it. But we were driving around 2 or 3 miles per hour and I did swerve left fast. I wish it had a hud and a sunroof that could open but I'm glad I bought this over the lexus and ioniq 5.

That page is referring to the mobile ford charger. The bottom of the left column makes the reference and follows with the chart to the right

Yeah you would think that you'd be roasting under that glass roof...but nope. It does a very good job of reflecting a lot of light. In fact it's way better than the glass roof panels on my Lightning.
We have not had a chance to drive it under full sun, but it actually does do a pretty good job filtering out most of the light, heat and UV.

So the sunscreen may not even be necessary. It does appear I will have to go to the dealer for the parking assist. I may barely use it but the wife may like it. I know it's aggressive and perhaps dangerous as well so I will have to test it out well to see if it's worth using.

It sounds like the 240v outlet could be a weak spot so consider skipping the outlet and hardwiring the charger.
I haven't seen that about 240v outlets. What problems have there been?
