Not wind noise, literally no idea what happened. 500 miles driving on avg 50mph or less, trips of 5 miles at most per day. Car is now in shop for unknown repairs up to 3+ weeks

I tried clearing brake dust and turned off 1pd to see if it would resolve it. Any ideas? Havent even made my first payment yet...

That sounds like the normal pedestrian noise which is now a requirement I believe for all EVs and Hybrids. You won’t hear it unless your window is open and you’re traveling at low speeds.

This from a quick Internet search: Electric vehicle warning sounds are sounds designed to alert pedestrians to the presence of electric drive vehicles such as hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and battery electric vehicles (BEVs) travelling at low speeds.

The normal pedistrian noise is not that....it is a low pitch hum that sounds pleasant, this is like a tea kettle is boiling and grinding metal on metal. You can hear the hum if you listen but the TEA KETTLE NOISE is so loud...

I'm confused - did the dealer diagnose it or not? You said it's in the shop.

I can hear the high pitch noise. Almost sounds like something (road debris?) trapped against the rotor or maybe an issue with the drive unit itself.

I would check all the front area seals and closures for stuck material (plastic, rubber, trim piece, whatever). Then I would look at the rotors, a stuck rock could cause that type sound. But to me it seems like some sort of whistle from a gap somewhere in the front.

How could it be wind noise if you google the wind noise problem it sounds completely different, this sounds metal on metal, i wonder if there is a dust plate that needs to be cleared and had debris in it. I have researched typical noises and this is nothing like the wind or pedestrian noise lol, just google it....are there any ENG's or FORD techs on here to assist?

He’s talking about the high pitched noise that sounds like a tea kettle whistling. Not normal.

Could be brakes, axle shafts, or seals. They will have to put the car on a lift and spin the wheels to see.

I had a new car delivered from out of state during Covid that was squealing from the front brake and it ended up that it was a stone behind the rotor. Had it towed to the local dealer who I had not bought the car from but they fixed it anyway under warranty.
