Fisker drastically reduced the price of the Ocean sport utility vehicle, the top-end version of the Ocean, called Extreme. It will slash the price by $24,000 — a 39% discount — to $37,499.

As it weathers liquidity challenges and the pending delisting of its stock. Earlier this month, it paused production and stated it may have to file for bankruptcy if it’s unable to service its debt.

deja vu with fisker all over again. I can't imagine anyone buying their cars at any price with the dismal track record.

Ouch. Just when you thought recent Fisker buyers couldn't feel more uneasy....

Just went to the fisker forum to check out owner's reaction. what is weird to me is some of the owners that bought the car actually are not wealthy. They are typical car buyers that financed the car. I mean seriously why would you spend that kind of money on a little start up? I am not seeing anything special on the Ocean that beats the established competitors.

I am sure Lucid owners are more loaded since they can shell out $100K on a startup. If Lucid goes out next. Their owners probably will just shrug it off easy.

If Lucid goes out someone needs to figure out how to recycle those batteries into power walls of some sort.

When Fisker goes out again there will be some very sad owners.

I think lots of folks got suck(er)ed into the whole purchase order loophole for the $7500 tax credit.

That flushing sound you hear is another Fisker failure.

Fisker Ocean supposed to have nice features including bi-directional charging. The cost was similar to many EVs in the segment. It’s sad that some features were not delivered and company goes down.

The reason a lot of people went in with the Fisker is due to the Magna connection. The reasoning was Magna is a large, respected automotive company with a track record of producing some very nice vehicles on contract and they would keep HF and co inline. I bought into this, but it turned out Magna could not control "the family'. When Fisker failed to file a timely 10K the first time and then there was the CAO fiasco, well that was the last nail for many - including me- we got out. But many others either already had their cars or hoped against hope that it would be alright. Why? It really is a wonderful car, software aside. I drove one last summer and loved it. This is why it was so hard to bail. Even after cancelling there second thoughts, but with recent events it is now a sigh of relief. For the record I would still like to see Fisker, the company, somehow to succeed.

At $25k, the Sport is a great 73kWh, $20k battery with a $5k car attached.

Fisker is hosed. Stay away from these cars no matter the price because they’re going to be paperweights in short order.

What would make them a paperweight?
