Can't deal with the bouncy ride anymore after two weeks with the Mach-E. What do I do?

Thank! My biggest complaint is the stiffness going over potholes and bumps in the roads. Anything to smooth out the ride at a cheap cost would be preferable.

Are you going to a suspension specialist? I suspect Ford is not interested in installing 3rd party parts.
Ford dealers will not install after market parts. I have not called around yet to see who will do it in my local area, but most shops that do suspension repairs can probably do it. It's the alignment that could be harder. Check out the Eibach lowering spring thread.

Steeda just dropped these double adjustable rear shocks. Wish they were for the Mache ?

https://www.steeda.com/steeda-mustang-pro-action-double-adjustable-rear-shocks-2015-2023.html
There's about 6 companies that make double adjustable shocks for Mustangs. The KW's so far are the only ones with a vulcanized rubber isolator on the bottom, all others use urethane, which is fine on ICE but makes a ton of noise for the MME. If KW would just sell the rear shock they'd sell A LOT of them. I've spoken to a couple shops about tig welding in the rubber isolator (and the tube needed for it) on the Viking/QA1's I have. It sadly would require a shock rebuild after as well. (So roughly 1/2 the price of the KW set up)

When you say “6 companies…for Mustangs” are you talking about the MachE or ICE?

Reading several posts in the forum I know @markboris has also solicited several other manufacturers in hopes of them making a bolt on solution vs modifying their existing products for the MachE.

As you mentioned, outside the kW Coilovers, (and mind you I might have missed or read over it) none, that I’m aware of, are bolt on.

6 cmpanies that make dual adjust shocks for ICE Mustangs. Which is what we used when finding the Koni's.
Viking, QA1, Strange, (some drifting company up the road from me) Koni and a couple others.
The koni's are bolt on. Not perfect but they work and choke the rebound which helps a lot.

I have not installed them yet, but the Eibach lowering springs have very good results regarding improving ride comfort. Also, installing the Eibach sway bars significantly improve stability.

Doing both of those modifications may put you over the $1k threshold unless you do the bars yourself. I replaced my sway bars, and it took a full Saturday afternoon, but it was not hard. I had never replaced suspension components before. There are good instructions and lessons learned in this forum to help you.

The springs need to be done by a professional, and you will need a four-wheel alignment afterwards.
When are you getting it done? I would love to know what you think (and the resulting drop in height) before their sale ends. I have gone back and forth on whether to do it.

Dropped the car off this morning. Will send photos.

Hey Patrick, I wanted to clarify about the suspension parts. This is the bouncy ride thread. Replacing the rear shocks with the modified Koni's will greatly reduce the bouncy ride NOT the Eibach lowering springs. Replacing the Eibach springs will smooth out the harshness of the ride when going over potholes and irregular road surfaces but not fix the rear end bounce.

Here is my thread on fixing the rear end bounce with the modified Koni shocks:

There are a couple of members in my Eibach GT Pro-Kit lowering springs thread with reviews that you can check out. I'm installing a set in another member's car this coming Monday and I'm sure he will post with his findings also. https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/eibach-gt-pro-kit-lowering-springs-on-a-gtpe.33310/

And this is Erik's thread on his install and view of the Eibach springs. https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/eibach-gt-performance-springs-on-a-4xer.33926/

These are the springs we have been purchasing and installing: https://eibach.com/product/E10-35-054-04-22?epsid=2920

Jeff what car are you trying to tame? A Premium that's not going for super sporty will really only need a rear bar. This only helps with side to side wobble. The ride doesn't change much if any with only bars. Just that the car doesn't wobble side to side as much.
GT? Might as well do both.

Thanks Mark. I follow all those threads. I am not so worried or have complaints on the ride that others do, I was simply replying since I knew he had a GT and posted that he bought the lowering springs. I am curious about the impressions of them on his GT.

I am doing everything in steps to gauge what I think of each (as opposed to all at once). The Sway bars are going on with a wheel mod, then I may move to the Koni shocks or lowering springs next.

I have a Job 2 GT from 2023, non-PE. I really only want to make one worthwhile investment and hope to not make multiple mitigations. Just trying to get a slightly smoother ride over potholes and road imperfections.
