Well my wife and I just received a call from Sam Pack late yesterday that our long range rwd Premium in red/black is in at Sam Pack. The weather is terrible here and she wants to wait for it to clear...so no car until Friday or Saturday. Vin...06286. Very excited. Have solar panels on roof and have been driving a Chevy Bolt. It has been flawless. The solar and EV have proven their worth. Come on Mach E!

I would say if you want the tax credit for this year sign the paper work so you technically take delivery of car but move actual pick up date to a later time.

It will still be 7500 unless some bill or law was passed that I am unaware of that takes that away. Also might want to check on your state incentives as well who knows they might go away today as well.

I think Ford going to try and deliver as many cars today as they can

1. Rise sold cars for 4th quarter
2. People take advantage of tax credit on this years tax return which since the Pandemic could help a lot of people out
3. Free publicity with more videos popping on the net lol

Oddly, one of the reasons my wife and I wanted a BEV was because of hurricanes. Power can go out around here for a fair bit of time following strong tropical storms. Having a car that isn't dependent upon gas pumps is handy. We're effectively off-grid as well with a hefty battery storage system.

Should be same $7500 off of taxes assuming you qualify the same both years. Just a question of ~4 months or ~16 months back at tax time.

sam pack the guy has been a ford dealer for decades and use to work for Ford. The reason I went to this dealer in hope I could get mine sooner since I did not have a reservation.

Bidirectional charging will only increase the advantages of BEVs for home energy backups. That's probably the first feature a new Mach-E would get me to trade mine for, assuming Ford will launch it in a few years and that our Mach-Es won't be able to be retrofitted.
