I am thinking of 5 examples.

1. HVJB recall where they were supposed to send a charging mat and gift card. I got the recall done in March never received the gift package.
2. The Tesla charger adaptor. Very few have received them I was under 2000 in line and got pushed back from May to June.
3. Bluecruise update that has been promised forever I have a Job 1 car and on Bluecruise 1.0 didn't buy the update in Jan offer waiting for the update its May and still no update
4. They brought in a key exec from Apple years ago, yet the Fordpass screen and app had small incremental changes so far. That large screen and yet you can only use one function at a time. He should have demanded a much bigger update to both by now with the ability to run multiple functions on the large screen. Running Nav and stereo on the same screen should not be hard.
5. Updates to the car are so slow and they come in short waves last update was March for me and I had a few downloaded in a week. No updates since then. Where is the basic function of having a permanent trunk button on the top to easily open the trunk and not have to open another screen to do it?

I love the car but by now they should be better at logistics and updates and improvements and also at under promising and over delivering not the other way around.

A few of the things listed above we should have for the start of vacation and spring/summer holiday travel. Like BlueCruise and Tesla adaptor!

Built before July 2021 is a Job 1. All 2021 models after that are Job 2. Not sure what follows after 2021 models, I think they just call them by the year not job numbers.

My feelings exactly. I didn’t have HVJB - mine was built June 22 - but am disappointed that I’m still on BC 1.2 (and Tesla adapter delays). I still love this car and it’s still my favorite car that I’ve ever owned (second fave is my Mini convertible :)

If you look at your door jamb tag for month of manufacture, you can then compare that to the switch over date Ford states they are starting Job2 assembly.

Although if your manufacture month is the switch over month, you might need more granular evidence to know for sure. If Job2 was officially started on April 8, and your tag says month of manufacture is 4/202x, then you might be Job1 or Job2.

1. I had my HVBJB done the end of January. Haven't heard anything since on any parting gifts. Not really that important to me, but solid communication still lacking and that's not desirable.
2. Same here. Considering the current state of affairs with Tesla, I won't be surprised if the summer goes by and I don't have a adapter still.
3. I let the trial for HF-BC on my v1.0 expire Jan 1 as it wasn't a finished product ready for prime time, IMHO. Still MIA today for any updates after many heads-up that it was coming. This one is the essence of your subject topic from my perspective.
4. Since I mostly use the Google Android Auto UI on the center tablet I don't notice this at all since it enables up to three apps at one time on the screen.
5. Exactly the same for me, although I did get a Frunk button on the home page of FordPass just a few weeks ago without any fanfare.

It is a little hard to believe that Ford would allow such inconsistent communication and delivery with regard to a platform that is designed to be more or less tethered to the mothership in its daily operation to some degree. ?‍♂

1) Have you called Ford or talked to your dealer about it? who promised it to you
2) to be clear, you are complaining about the one month delay of a free gift? That they could have easily just charged us all for? I admit it is a bummer, but we are all adults and bought the car without this. And we all know this isn't something they are manufacturing themselves.
3) was the update promised for a certain date?
4) this seems like less a promise from them and more of an expectation of yours
5) were you promised updates at a certain pace? Just the fact that we are getting over the air updates is great

They could not have charged me for a Tesla adapter.

Certainly other options to purchase a Tesla adapter exist, Ford negotiating the agreement and adding tesla superchargers to ford pass and providing a free adapter was was very thoughtful. And unexpected and not contractually required.

After my first 300 mile plus road trip, I now personally understand the importance of the Tesla adapter to enable increased charging options. For those that are waiting we should consider alternatives or much better route planning.

it is what it is .........Ford or others will be happy to sell you a newer EV

I dont really care about the gift but I got part of it well over a month ago the 30K Fordpass points it more about how slow their logistics are

it always starts at a month some who ordered were told August. My expectations are low it will in June especially after Musk fired the whole supercharger team
3) was the update promised for a certain date?
this has been promised since last year read the forum there are many discussions about this
4) this seems like less a promise from them and more of an expectation of yours
When you hire the top software guy from Apple who has some of the best software in electronics yea I guess its expected it would have been revamped to improve the software
5) were you promised updates at a certain pace? Just the fact that we are getting over the air updates is great
Well you dont know my cars history with update the first 6 months I owned the car half of the time it was at the dealer trying to get software update fixes and recalls done. Yes you can see polling here here of car updates. Being a job one car we dealt with lots of issues with software. To this day after owning it almost 3 years I still have to push the door button 5 or six time for it to open.

like I said I love the car but they are not good at many thing I listed above.

1. Whining over not getting a free gift exactly when you thought you would is, well, just whining.

2. Whining over not getting a free gift is, well, just whining.

3. You do have Blue Cruise. It works. You don't have lane change and some curves on the freeway turn off hands free but you have "virtual hands free" with lane centering. The BlueCruise update isn't the panacea you think it is, if you're expecting a radical change when you get BC 1.4 then you're in for a world of hurt.

4. Be specific. FordPass works just fine for me, has for 3 years. What, exactly are you missing that you think you should have? What promise has Ford under delivered here?

5. Me, personally, I prefer updates that are rock solid. Now having said that I am in the EA program. I guess I'm an enigma there.

you missed the point and the gist of the message it's not about the gifts I don't even car about them I had the car for 3 years and only used a public charging once to try it for 10 mins. I won't even use the charging mat I don't charge the phone in the car. I didn't buy the update to BlueCruise because I only used it a few times and don't like giving up control of the wheel. So, none of that is important to me. The gist of the message is a company like Ford should not over promise and under deliver. they should communicate better. The things you say I am whining about I won't use or care about. I been an Apple product user since they introduced the phone, watch, iPad, ear buds etc. The announce a product and its usually available to buy in weeks. They constantly improve the products with updates. If they have a issue with a product they send an update in weeks. I know it's not the same a car has way more risk than a phone or watch but when I bought the car it took me 5 or 6 pushed on the car door button for it to open, 3 years later still hitting the button 5-6 times to get in the car.
