Well I never! ??HIstory teaches that one should, um, never use the word never in regards to future plans, but I guess it has its marketing value.
You definitely should be in marketing.I really wish they'd made it the Falcon Mach-E. Then I could talk about my F-ME all the time. About how my F-ME is waiting on an OTA to Fix it's ABS, HVJB, KTO, BCHF-ME etc. Every dealer wanted to slap an ADM on the F-ME OTD in 23 ya know? I was lucky to pick up a used F-ME when I did! Just before the F-ME's price cuts. I think I paid the F-ME premium for sure!
I always wished Ford would have brought this Falcon here from Australia-You definitely should be in marketing.
Fairlane would have worked as well as Falcon.
It is a bubble gum issue. Fun to bandy about, but at the end of the day it means nothing much.Yeah, you tell em, put your energy into commenting on a thread you care nothing about! ?
That’s…. not a Mustang. If this is what Farley means then ok, but if he’s talking about the Mustang Mach E, that makes absolutely no sense considering how the thing was promoted up until like last year or so when the next ICE gen was unveiled. Anyone remember the fancy “Anything you can do, I can do electric” commercial, with all those ICE Mustangs lined up??? And that 1400hp model - now that’s what they should have released as the GTPE!Last trip to Denmark a bunch of these were seen on the roads. BEV explorer

I wonder if they ever considered naming it a Thunderbird Mach-E. There was a four door version of the T-Bird marketed in the late 60's, so the barrier was already down. A bit more of an electric connection: thunder related to lightening relates to electricity. But this is just an exercise in intellectual onanism.
US Bank sent me a ‘congrats on your new truck’ letter when I paid my Mach-E off. Upon further inquiry it was their opinion that, technically, I bought a Truck.Well, after reading the whole article, I interpreted some sections differently and some even worse.
“We will never build an all electric 2-row SUV Mustang.” Well, I just looked in my garage and there is one there, so…. ?
I think we have our DEFINITIVE answer. The Mustang Mach-e is not a Mustang. It is a Mustang Mach-e. With that settled, I will go back to enjoying my Mustang Mach-e.
A Mustang truck?US Bank sent me a ‘congrats on your new truck’ letter when I paid my Mach-E off. Upon further inquiry it was their opinion that, technically, I bought a Truck.
I want one.A Mustang truck?
If you by that mean that the question can be answered with a "no", I am now in a postion to clarify. I reached out to Emma Bergg (director, EV Energy & Battery Tech Communications). She confirmed that Jim Farley was - as I indicated in my previous post - "referring to the 2-door coupe".We finally have the answer to the age old question of "Is the Mach-E a Mustang?" In the linked article below, CEO Jim Farley says they will never build an Electric Mustang or one for off-roading (sorry Mach-E Rally). Interesting little article.

How soon people forget the Futura! You definitely should be in marketing.

Uh-huh ?If you by that mean that the question can be answered with a "no", I am now in a postion to clarify. I reached out to Emma Bergg (director, EV Energy & Battery Tech Communications). She confirmed that Jim Farley was - as I indicated in my previous post - "referring to the 2-door coupe".
So what Ford CEO Jim Farley said was that Ford won't build a fully electric Mustang with the body shape of a 2-door coupe.
The Mustang Mach-E was, is an will stay part of the Mustang family in its own right![]()
