Interestingly enough, the opposite happened to me. I tapped on the words, specifically NOT the toggle, hoping to get the EA kWh balance. The app decided I wanted to turn off P&C. Now it won't turn it back on. The toggle moves to On, then it thinks for a few seconds and turns it back off.
I further compounded my misery by logging out of the app in the foolish hope that that might help. Now it says I need to setup PaaK, even though it shows that "This Device" is already a key. Just like some other frustrated users have posted, it is impossible to setup PaaK. It continually fails at various points in the process. ???

Quick update: after deleting every Ford related BT profile in my phone I was able to get PaaK back on my car. Then I went to re-pair to my wife's MME and no luck. SMH.

[UPDATE] I drove the car today (30 miles each way). I am noticing some app improvement. Charge rate shows. Charging targets are ok.

If driving the car is part of the new app initialization process, Ford should just say so

Opening the Apple Watch is slooooow for me. I have an Ultra 2, so I can only imagine the wait time on older watch hardware.
If the progress wheel is spinning for 3+ seconds before anything comes up on the screen, I just put my wrist down and give up. Watch functions need to be snappy to be useful. No button press in a watch app should take more than 0.5s to respond.

starting the 'car' option is much easier and quicker than previous version.

they did a great job on this updated watch app

you could always try the uninstall and re-install process tech support would likely suggest.
beyond that, dunno why yours is slow and mine is quick.

Asbuilt Explorer appears to be a PC executable. I use a Mac. Thanks though!

But owning a few Ford's pretty much requires me to have a pc.

Well I was thinking good things but now I noticed that one major thing is there's nowhere to see your FordPass information it used to show on the old app but they're also requiring you to be constantly connected which is a bummer I don't wanna be constantly connected this is frustrating it seems like they made so many steps forward but now there's no way to check my FordPass balance there's no way to know if I'm still connected for Tesla network or anything like that it doesn't seem to exist in the new version what the hell is wrong with you Ford!!!!

Things are looking pretty promising in the new app till I noticed that the FordPass information that was in the old app doesn't seem to exist anywhere anymore on the macOS so it's hard to tell what your balance is and if you still have connectivity etc.

Hi Mustang Mach-E owners! If you recently updated your FordPass® app, you may have noticed it looks a little different. We are pleased to share that we have rolled out a newly designed app that is easy to use and efficient, to help you better manage your vehicle remotely. Here is what is new:

• Simplified Experience: We have reduced the number of steps it takes to access functions and made it easier to find them. As an EV owner, you can enjoy a simplified slider for target charge. Also, instead of having to press and hold to turn the vehicle ‘on’, it is now a simple tap.
• Apple Watch Integration: If you have an Apple Watch, in addition to lock/unlock and remote start/stop, you will also be able to use the following features from your wrist:
  • View battery level and range
  • View charging status, including: Charging speed, next departure time based on when desired charge is reached, current preferred charging window
  • View vehicle location
  • Activate horn and lights remotely

We are also continuing to improve the in-app experience with this latest version. If you notice a feature you previously used before is no longer there, don’t worry. The feature can still be accessed via your in-vehicle touchscreen.

It's great and I know that developing a app that works is very difficult because I'm in the software development field myself but I would like to say that it's important not to delete functionality in the old version of an app to thank Caree forward and add something silly like climate control. Sure I can see where it might be in some environments so I'll give you that but I have other features in the app all of a sudden disappear like how do I know if my Ford pass app balances how do I know if I'm still connected to the Tesla functionality for four pass app you used to be able to set these things up in the app and they no longer seem to exist either on the website or on the app itself how do you know that this is working there is no explanation of why this was taken out we were forced this app update and obviously there are a big changes coming but nobody wants to spill bean what the hell is going on once again you are disappointing a large group of people like myself with your marketing promises but the reality is something different I don't know who your marketing to but although the app seems more friendly it's missing key things that were in the old app it would be nice to have those back hello hello is anybody listening and development.

The first time I used 5.0, all the functionality seemed to work (Samsung S23+). Then the location button stopped working.

Reinstalled the app, no luck. Cleared the cache, logged off and back on, .. no effect. Then I rebooted based on advice up thread, and the location button started working!

...as a test, kill the app, reduce your text size in iOS settings, then restart the app and see what happens.
