Hi, I'm Brian. I'm new to this forum. I'm in Ventura, California (Socal) - I bought a MME for work commuting as the EV payment balances out for the gas and wear/tear on my Ford F-250 Tremor.

It's a 2023 MME - Premium AWD - Extended Battery - Space White

Current Mods:
- 20% Tint all around
- Color Matched Fender Flares
- Fitcam (Dashcam)
- Front Lip and Hatch Lip
- HRE FF10 22"x9.5 Wheels purchased from @VibeMotorsports
- Eibach Springs and Sway Bars (On the way)
- JL Audio 12" Power Wedge (Sitting in box waiting to be installed)
- Wrapped Marker lights in Smoke wrap

I think that's all that my plans are for this car besides enjoying it. I went from a Chevy Bolt EUV Premier, loved the car, but the range wasn't the best compared but I'm happy with my new MME and it's a blast to drive. I would have purchased the GT or GTPE but I wanted the additional range.

Yes, it is illegal to have your front windows tinted in California. I like the fact that it helps keep the cabin cooler while giving me privacy. Most police will not pull you over just for that unless they want to be a jerk. Most of them use it as probable cause if you’re driving stupid. There’s no law that says that shops can’t tint your windows because at the end of the day, it’s on you as the owner.

There are companies that install illegal (license plate blocking) bike racks too. No one enforces that unless a cop wants to make your day.

I might argue with "it's on you as the owner", but I'm not a lawyer. Last time I checked, there were some standards around if the sale could be used for legal purposes. I think it tends to be used more in civil suits, but it's hard to say in this case what the damages of having front tint are, so not likely to have a civil suit. Selling a product that can only be used illegally or 99% illegally puts some burden on the seller, AFAIR.

Anyway, thanks for answering, I've always wondered when I see heavily tinted windows around.

lol.. I have both of my vehicles with dark tint, and even my last car. I haven't had a tint ticket in over 5 years knock on wood. But I guess window tint did get me into trouble when I was younger, and I never learned my lesson. I got disqualified from the sheriffs department a week before academy because of 2 window tint tickets within 2 years. Apparently its considered bad judge of character lol (This was over 18 years ago)

Are there any videos available to show how to go about removing the wheel well trim pieces? I understand they are held in by clips but would like to see how it is done before attempting it myself.
