Plug & Charge settings in New App

I'm about to head out on a little road trip and I'd love to know I can plug & charge at a supercharger with my new adapter. I'm almost certain I got things set up correctly a few months ago before the app swapped over to the new one. I'd like to double check that if possible.

What menu do I go to? I see in connected services I have Blue Oval Charge Network active. Is that all I need to know I am good?

It will charge no matter what. But for true Plug-and-Charge you need to have received the 24-PU0119-DC-CHG4 update.
If you have that and a BlueOval Charge Network account to bill to, you’re all set.
If you do a Tesla subscription to get lower rates, you have to initiate the charge in their app.
One other note: BlueOval doesn’t bill your credit card as a EV Charging Provider. If you get cash back on charging you also have to use the native app.

Also, if you have never used P&C before, you need to log in to owner.ford.com, go into Connected Services and then into Blue Oval Charge Network to make sure you have a payment method set up.

Checking the app doesn't tell you if the car got the update, as noted.

If Plug and Charge doesn't work, simply do the following:

1) Activate charger via FordPass app.
2) Plug in.

I never saw the Tesla certificate in the old app, but had P&C work on a magic dock, but never got charged for it. Tried Tesla with my adapter and P&C did not work, had to use FordPass. p&C works fine for me on EA, and Ford has no clue how to fix it.

Do you know when P&C charges the credit card? I got my adapter a week ago and tested it at a supercharger. Fordpass says I used 2 kWh but I have yet to see a charge for it on my CC lol

I got the billing email from Ford right after using the app to charge at Tesla. My P&C sessions at EA are also billed quickly. I may try it at a Supercharger again today, since the Ford EV team told me it should be working.

Most come right away. Some are delayed.

I tried Plug and Charge again today at a different Tesla site and it is definitely not working. And Ford is no help at all.

I haven’t been able to P&c successfully at any Tesla charger. But I found on the FordPass app>energy>advanced>access & permissions that my “ plug and charge” wasn’t on. Will be trying again this week.

I don't trust the FordPass Plug and Charge app. Before the FordPass was updated and I could see the P&C details, the Tesla certificate stayed at "Pending" status for two and a half months. Calls to Ford didn't help, so I have no way of knowing if I can P&C at a Tesla station. Instead, I have downloaded apps for each of the charging providers in my area and use them instead of P&C whenever I need to charge.

Prior to the update I never got the Tesla certificate showing at all. I am sure that is why mine and many others are broken. Everything in the app is enabled and connected services is all good on the web site for me. EA P&C still works.

They have no clue how to fix my plug and charge on EA. Everything is setup correctly as far as they can see but it never works.
