I activated my Blue Oval network last night and it shows up as active in my Ford account in Connected Services but I can’t toggle it to On in FP. I get the note below and when I click on the selector it just goes back to off. I’ve never charged on the road, only at home and work (free charging there) so today will be the first time I need to do that. I assume I’ll be ok but might have to initiate the charge via the app?

Worse case, you initiate in the app.

Make sure you have the latest version of the app. There are often server issues. Try deleting cache and then app, reboot phone, reinstall. If that doesn't work, try again on Monday.

My experience with that was that it took a couple days to work. Seems too long but, I guess it is what it is. Like Rick said, if you really need to charge now, get the Electrify America app and use that to initiate the charge if Blue Oval won’t work.

Fortunately, this didn’t seem to affect my charging. I plugged into an EA station and everything just worked without my having to do anything.

I may have jumped the gun when I said everything worked fine. It looks like EA charged my card about $6 after adding 32% charge (estimated to be 81 miles) even though I activated my Blue Oval network and my account shows free 250 kWh. Was there something I was supposed to have done for the charger to use those free kW instead of charging me $? Is it possible it takes a few days post activation in order for EA to know that I have a credit for those 250 kWh?

Edit: I’m a potato head—it turns out I didn’t look carefully at the charger and it shows that I received a discount equal to what they would have charged me without the free kW.

I cannot activate Plug & Share in FP app. It keeps “loading” forever.
Activated Blue Oval in my account in browser, but it’s not activating in the app.
Brand new car (that’s actually Lightning, I own Mach-E and Lightning), just received an email inviting to activate Blue Oval with free charge last week. Any ideas?

Have you gone through the Blue Oval function and manually select the charge station and manually authorize?

P&C never worked for me and this is how I used my free 250 kWh. When that was used up , I used the EA app since I had a discount plan that Blue Oval didn’t recognize.

Update: just updated to latest FP (4.23.1) and it seems to have fixed the issue of Plug and Charge showing up in the app. Not sure if it’s coincidence: could it have just been that the system needed a few days to catch up since I only activated the charging network last Friday?

Plug and charge has worked for me a total of 1 time since I got the car. Every other time on different EA chargers I just get errors. Had to turn it off to be able to charge the car on public chargers.
