Hmmm, so I guess my RWD won't have the "4". Thanks, Mantooth!

I'm also a RWD extended range order. Wonder if ours will have Mach-E 2 X on there?

There won't be a 2 or a 4. Just Mach-E X.

Mine's a SR with AWD. I don't care about not having the X, but it's unfortunate that it also means it won't have the black underline since that's part of the X. Oh well. I'll find a way to survive.

Honestly one of the most unnecessarily confusing things they could have done.

X = AWD, to most people, I suspect. I don't think most will immediately guess eXtended Range.

Nobody I've talked to got it first try, even some reviewers (Straight Pipes and another I think) were like "it says X and 4 but the X means AWD so what's the 4 mean?"

And it's not explained anywhere on the build&price, the brochure, the order guide, anywhere that I can find, just appears on the doors. .

It's advertised as Mach-E "Extended Range", not Mach-EX

It's advertised as Mach-E "eAWD", not Mach-E4.

Why they decided the badge on the car needed to debut a new naming scheme, Idk.

I'm probably peeling them off my car either way, I don't really care for that much chrome on the car.

This is why I ordered SR RWD. No need to peel them off AND it's like Ford is paying me for this benefit, too.

You've just taken petty complaints about nothing to a whole new level.

It's not petty to me. I really really dislike the existence of those badge in the first place - they're completely unnecessary - but then for those badges to be the first place a new model designation be made is not good. They're ugly *and* confusing.

I‘m glad the badging is there. Without it, there would be no way to tell the number of motors or size of the battery in the MME when admiring it in a parking lot.
