  • Lane Change Assist: allows you to use the turn signal switch to indicate a desired lane change, which the system will perform when the path is clear. It will also suggest a lane change in slower-moving traffic.
Mine already does this, so does that mean I already have 1.3?

So peculiar that a 2022 gets it before 2023. Not sure how you run a business that way, but whatever!
2023s shipped with 1.2, 2022s had 1.0. If I had to guess, they are giving it to the people with the least first.

Some of those features were part of 1.2 or later.
If you have a 2023 you have 1.2, if you have a 2024 you have 1.3.

**Laughs nervously as a job 1 2021 owner that originally didn’t have any version of blue cruise**
I wonder if it's a mix of the 2022s being easier to get up to date with the full 6.* than the 2021s, plus being older than the 2023s that already have Bluecruise 1.2,so the 2022s are the guinnea pigs, hopefully followed by the 2021s. Then 2023s.

Uh, the 2022's have been waiting longer. Why should 2023's get it first?
What makes you think Ford is pushing this update to cars based upon time without an updated BlueCruise version?

I don't claim to know Ford's thinking. I'm just saying it would be more fair to take care of those who have been waiting longer.

The 2021s have BC 1.0. They’ve been waiting quite awhile. There is an extremely strong likelihood there’s a technical reason the release started with cars other than job 1 2021s. Fairness isn’t that reason.

Be sure to report on your experiences with it, both hands free and hands on, once you’ve had the chance to try it out.

We now have it on Blucifer Twocifer. It took about 10 minutes to download via WiFi. Install took about 60 minutes and I could hear the pumps working the whole time and the cooling vents opened.

Afterwards, I took a short test drive and got lane changes to work. I didn't get to test the other features yet. Overall, it was way better at not freaking out when the lane got extra wide and stuff like that.

Tomorrow morning we are planning on getting up and filming a video. Hopefully we can get it uploaded by tomorrow evening or Sunday morning.

Can I ask what evidence is there that the files were downloaded over the Wi-Fi interface?

As a ‘21, I want ‘21s to go first.

As a developer, the ‘22s probably don’t have as many changes since they had 1.2 already, meaning less chance of big problems and fewer things to debug if it does go wrong.

When the non-EA updates come, I hope it’s everyone or a relatively short delay. ‘21s have been through a lot, making us wait a long time again will make us sad.
