It’s always nice when you’re in a state that has an open carry gun law?‍↔ just do like all those people do at Walmart and wear it on your side people try to walk away from you?
Absolutely! I don’t want one of those things pointed at my car or me. I remember hearing horror stories from our ER docs about summertime Saturday nights. The saddest stories were, of course, the little kids who never had the chance to get out of the way of the bullets ?

And the latest is the little kid with the identical looking Glock that got shot when he could’ve just said I have an air pistol in my pocket and could’ve ended it right there, but he made the mistake and then he pulled it out. I don’t blame the police one, but I used to be a cop.

It would be nice that Tesla put up a sign at their charging stations that they have a deal between Ford and themselves lol

Yes, sadly that happens too. I want to try to avoid getting flagged for going too far off-topic, so I’ll just say that I like my car to have the number of holes it came equipped with from the factory ?

The only actual comment I got was when I was sitting charging with my window down and a confused Tesla owner asked if I had a body kit or something on my Model 3.
At least they didn’t say Model Y. ??

Used Tesla stations 15 out 24 charges, Orlando-Dallas-Austin-Orlando.

Loved the consistent speed and price(joined Tesla Club for the month, $13). Lowered charge price to $.036-$0.39 per kWh.

More often than not, Tesla owners at charging locations asked how I liked the MME. As for ‘dirty’ looks/smirks…there were a few but, oh well.???‍♂

As soon as I got out of the car the other day at a Tesla stop, a guy came right over and asked about my car. He said after 10 years he was so done with Tesla and their customer service. He asked me how it was with Ford. I said I loved the car, ….

Last week I got my free adaptor from Ford and I feel like sharing my first experience using it. This was just a test run using the adaptor at a local Tesla station. Plug and Charge worked perfectly and it billed my account accurately. Overall it was a great experience but I have to admit I was only on the charger for 5 minutes. Afterall this was just a trial run.

I did get some pursed lips from the Tesla owners who were also charging. I tried to be friendly by head nodding and waving but they seemed uninterested even though the location I charged at was not very busy and I did not need to take up two spaces.

Anyway, I'm really excited about this and was really happy my first experience went exceedingly well. I can't wait to see what kind of travel opportunities this opens up.

Now onto the pics!

As you can see it wasn't perfect but I didn't block traffic even though I stuck out a little bit.

Adaptor worked great on the first try and didn't stick like some other have been reported to.

I know this isn't really accurate. I wish Ford showed this info in the vehicle not just the App.

Here is the receipt I got via email shortly after the session was ended.

Over 8,000 miles of smiles and it keeps getting better!
I didn’t really catch the bottom line on the charging fee but, holy smokes $5.30 for 9 miles of travel am I wrong here but our gas vehicles probably cheaper to travel? I had the concept that electric vehicles didn’t cost much to drive but now that I think that if you plug into your house charge or you find someplace like a hotel while you’re traveling?
$7 = 50 mi say Nissan?

I just got my adapter, and haven't used it on a real trip yet, but I did use a few Magic Docks in Northern CO (really quite handy, though I had to watch a youtube video to see how to deploy it). I was sort of expecting a hassle, but either people just ignored me and went about their task, or asked how I liked the Ford and complimented how it looks.

In one case the couple had just gotten their Model 3 and I showed them how to start a charge. I do have some fear about a random jerk, but I suspect that is the dramatic minority, my answer would probably be "Tesla and Ford made a deal, and it turns out my money is as green as yours." But "call the cops" is a pretty good one too - I'd love to see the look on the poor beat cops face when he is getting a call to chase a non-Tesla away from a Supercharger...

You are wrong.
Receipt clearly shows 10kWh added for $5.30.

So I guess it depends if they’re getting 2.5 or 3.5 kWh on the trip meter so that’s what 25 or 35 miles added for five dollars?

That would be the math, yes.

And if you joined the membership for that trip, you would get a 20% or so discount. Depending on the trip, could be in first day for breakeven.

DC fast charging is about the cost of gas. But... you leave with a full battery at a lower cost, then charge at hotels for free if you plan well. We have had 36% free charging on one 4,700 mile trip.

Sounds like my boss who has been driving Teslas for quite awhile and unhappy.

She is now getting the BMW i5 EV and asked me about the Tesla - CCS adapter.

I showed it to her and she said, it's nice that I can charge at any DCFC....
