Ok didn't know if the IPMA version was still an updated one.No, since they already have 1.3.
This is not true for me.And there is no more BC 1.4...even for those who got it as part of the EA test...they have now been "updated" to BC 1.3. Just so you know.
Not mine. "just so you know".And there is no more BC 1.4...even for those who got it as part of the EA test...they have now been "updated" to BC 1.3. Just so you know.
All I know is that I'm not updating my IPMA out of the version you have. Not mine. "just so you know".
What's your source for this little tidbit of information anyway?
I just added a 1.4 FDRS entry. Not going to add all of the years for that oneAny vehicles (all model years) updated via FDRS from ~December up until last week are technically on the 1.4 version. For example I have a 2021 that I updated via FDRS in December so I have the 1.4 version. The BC 1.4 - FDRS options donāt exist in the poll.
As of last week, when Ford started rolling out 1.3, 2022s and 2023s that update will get 1.3. However, they did not start the rollout of 1.3 to 2021s and did not pull the 1.4 update so technically any 2021s that update right now via FDRS will still get 1.4.
The 1.4 version very much still exists for 2021s until they replace it with 1.3.
And ... and it might remain so for a while because Ford put up the dreaded "Coming Soon" notification on their website. We all know what that means ?so,...so far, the vast majority are still on 1.0./
Well as far as I'm aware...the EA cars that did get the 1.4 version back in December are now going to get 'updated' when those IPMA and PSCM files are pushed down to the '21 models. Is that not a correct statement? So would they then not also be on the BC 1.3 revision that eventually everybody will be on?Not mine. "just so you know".

Gotta be honest here....I don't know that there is an actual BC 1.4 version outside of what the EA team pushed to selected '21 model VINs back in December.Any vehicles (all model years) updated via FDRS from ~December up until last week are technically on the 1.4 version. Youāre right about the feature set, itās the same for 1.2+, just fine tuned in later versions.Gotta be honest here....I don't know that there is an actual BC 1.4 version outside of what the EA team pushed to selected '21 model VINs back in December.
And when I asked what the difference was between BC 1.3 and what was being referred to as BC 1.4 it was crickets. I think that the software and feature set of what went out as BC 1.4 to those cars was rebranded as BC 1.3.
So they took BC 1.2's feature set including the lane change and the other improvements....and then fine tuned it again, and then decided that since the end of the fiscal quarter was coming up and they needed to put a mark on the wall, they decided to call what they had BC 1.3 and roll that out.
That's speculation I freely admit.
And for anybody who thinks there is a BC 1.4 that's different than the BC 1.3 I've got now.....please tell me what's different about it.
