Its funny on the other Ford forums like Maverick there's a Ford guy showing up everywhere making comment and asking for DMs when there's a problem bot NO Ford rep to be found on the Mach E forum.
There is a Ford account over there as well... just doesn't show up that often anymore. But it's all good... My car is at the service center.... so long as they don't have remove any clips (cause they never put those back on), everything is will be fixed and ready to go

They are here, pop into forums, ask for vin. People then usually make fun of the account.

They popped into the other lockout thread.

This is also happening on 24's by the way. It happened to mine on Monday. It is currently at the dealer. They replaced the 12 volt and are telling me it is good to go.

I don’t know if it will help until something actually happens, but as pointed out to me in the past it’s better to have the jumpstart pack outside the car than inside. If it doesn’t work, then I have Ford roadside assistance and the dealer to deal with it.
Thanks for the insight. Which jumpstart pack do you have? I should probably invest in one from what I’m reading here…..(2021 MMEAWD)

I tried disconnecting the 12v battery, waiting 10mins, and reconnecting. I still find there's a 10-15A phantom drain on the battery.

I've booked an appointment with my dealer on Monday, and in the meantime all I can do to keep the car usable is to have it running 24/7 (or charging).

Curious if you waited two hours after shutting down the car without disturbing it before making the measurement? There is a long shut down period if you open the hood, etc.

Interesting. I recently got a warning that my 12V was being over used and almost dead. I fortunately have a level 2 charger at home so I immediately plugged it in when I got the notice. Yes charging does also charge the 12v. I checked awhile back with a multimeter as I had an incident when on vacation for a week, I came home to a dead battery.

Now that so many are experience it, I bet it does have something to do with the software not turning something off properly. Maybe the sensors or cameras. Something to that effect.

Curious tho, when my car was dead dead, I was still able to open the Frunk with the jumpers and jump the car. Are you guys saying that with this new bug, you cannot do that? My 12V was below 8v and the Frunk cable still worked and I was able to charge up to bring to the dealer.

Probably should've asked yesterday... there were a lot of good ones on sale on amazon.

I didn't know that was necessary. I will try turning it off for a couple of hours before checking, and will report back.

BC 1.3 update installed last night on my 23.5. Built about mid July’23, logged into dealer about a month later. Car sat until I bought it on March 21. Call it 7 months. (The RDX I had previously was bought by me about 9 months after the build date. The battery was an issue on that car. I finally bit the bullet and paid for a new one. OEM battery was just in spec enough to not be a warranty issue. No issues after the new RDX battery.) The dealer I bought the MME from installed a new 12v battery in the car shortly before I took delivery. I was lucky on that one. I also charged the car at reduced 30A rate from about 76% to 90% last evening which brought the baby battery up to 93% according to ford.com. So far so good.
You didn’t charge your car at 30A! Oh my. Look at 2A to 10A (max). You have shorted the life of your battery.

You might not have noticed, but this issue is unique in that the 12v battery isn't dead. If the owner presses buttons on the fob, the lights flash and horns honk, but the doors don't unlock. The "bumper jumper" doesn't work, supposedly because the 12v battery isn't actually dead.

Dealerships are saying it's a battery fault, but how does the battery have enough juice to flash lights and honk a horn, but not enough juice to open the door?
