Sounds like my situation here in Alaska even being a retired EE. Except no negative pushback experienced on my end. Still the people in your area got their attitudes from somewhere. I always thought back East it was live free or die but I guess it is live free my way or die! My brothers in PA are also EV bashers for some reason.Nope, definitely not. I live in an area (western Maine) where there are virtually no EV, my dad's will be the first in our neighborhood and one of 3 in this wider area of 10,000 people. But anti-EV sentiment is extreme, trying to get an outlet for charging and electricians are trying to talk him out of EVs! Despite the fact that he was an electrical engineer (who also bought a '66 Mustang as his first new car), he's very old school Mainer but most everyone in northern New England (friends and family included) thinks EVs are a bunch of Chinese-invasion, California liberal crap.
