Interesting. I’ve been only using Apple Maps since it also shows the estimated battery percentage when you get to your destination. I haven’t noticed a significant change or drop on the car display after I start driving. My vehicle is pretty new though (700mi so far) and I have only charged to full twice.
I’m not sure what Apple Maps is even doing with battery information, maybe it thinks my extended range is a standard range. Because Maps will tell me it’s impossible to reach a destination that I can make with 20%+ remaining.

Apple Maps is very conservative regarding range. It is really annoying when you get to the lower end of the battery SoC. I give up and use something else when that happens...

Yeah, I used it for a trip last weekend and it was 20% off pretty consistently. It would tick back up to what I expected while driving, but if the charge stop I had planned was too far out Apple wouldn’t let me route to it without adding more stops.

Not sure if Apple maps will change the range that you see on the ford dashboard, but the Ford navigation will.

It can't change the Ford info. But yes, when you put in a route Intelligent Navigation predicts a range taking into account a bunch of factors, and then adjusts as you drive.

That’s the thing. I’m not really a slow driver. I’ve been doing about 50% highway (60+mph). I don’t have it in “unbridled” mode though.
60+ is a lot less than 75+

Temperature matters. I bet it's not winter where you are. Ranges are at their highest this time of year.

Length of drive, and climate control matters.

Ford is more conservative, it's a good thing.

Don't worry, your range will go down when the temps drop. Remember now with fond memories.

For future reference ....when the weather starts to turn remember to delete your driving history on the main screen (iPad). It'll get you back to EPA range and won't use the higher summer numbers . It'll be more accurate during the winter months when you really need it to be .

New owner here. It’s been over a month and charged to 100% twice on AC. Display shows over 280 miles of range (see pictures). This is supposed to be a 250mi-range model.
I know this depends on driving habits, etc. but I’m curious to know what you are getting on LFP 100% charge as estimated miles… is it more than advertised?

I live in rural area. Standard range LFP, RWD. 50% bumpy county roads, I do 40-45 and the rest two lane state highways around 60. I've seen my range estimate as high as 299 after a charge.

I was wondering if the LFP battery estimate is less accurate than the NMC long range battery? I know a couple years ago when I replaced my ebike battery I considered LFP, but the voltage is nearly level from 80% TO 20% SOC. I went with NMC which has a fairly consistant drop meaning you can tell your SOC by voltage pretty accurately and it was lighter, smaller.

Correct, SoC determination on LFP will be more inaccurate due to the flat voltage curve. That’s why you should change to 100% at least once a week on an LFP battery. Doing some deeper discharges to 10-20% before charging to 100% also helps the BMS learn the capacity and range more accurately.

I am charging at the 20s% range up to 100% at least every couple of weeks. The range displayed is much higher than expected so I am happy ? (even if that’s a guess). Mine is a RWD Select 2023
