My wife and I were at a stop light today and an older Subaru rear ended us. We got jolted pretty good, but right now looks like nothing serious...except of course our 2 year old beauty that was in perfect shape now has to get body work.
What amazed us is that the other car was in very bad shape after the accident...much worse that the back our our Mach E. Yes the number is sort of hanging loosely and the rear sensors don't work, and dents, but we were expecting a lot worse when we got out of the car. The other nice thing was another driver saw the accident and said to have insurance call him if we needed a witness.
Is is just the battery cage and weight that prevented more damage and injury to us? That is our thinking. We owned a 2000 F250 SD that seemed indestructible due to its weight and height. I'm guessing our Mach E weighs about 5,000 lbs and the one that hit us 3,000 lbs.
Probably going to take it to the local Ford body shop in Vancouver WA
