Go here - https://www.ford.com/support/how-to...ng/how-do-i-get-a-fast-charging-adapter-nacs/

IF the previous owner hasn't order it, you can for free.

However, if they have, it's theirs (even if not yet received). Only one per VIN, and it goes to whoever owns the vehicle at time of order.

If you're out of luck, A2ZEV makes the Typhoon Pro adapter for Tesla SuperChargers. It sells for $193.50 (after using code FORDFORUM). They also sell the Stellar adapter, which is for Tesla Destination chargers. It sells for $110. If you pick use the dropdown menu on the Typhoon Pro page to pick the Stellar adapter also, the combined price is $261, 20% off. In other words, it’s only $67.50 more for the destination charging adapter. Delivery is normally 2-3 weeks. I have both adapters and have used both many times. They work great. https://a2zevshop.com/products/nacs-ccs1?ref=Typhoon&variant=43186507579592

That could be messy.

If I were in that scenario and I really needed/wanted an adapter, I'd spend a few $'s on an A2Z in place of the energy and frustration of trying to acquire a free Ford.

I'm results oriented. Lol
It's actually not messy, because Ford says whoever owns the vehicle at time of order, gets it. Once ordered, that VIN is done, and they won't switch it.

My use of the word messy applies even if the VIN still qualifies for the free adapter.
I'm just saying

Their initial design was dangerous, and they recalled it. Their next design has had a handful of reports for overheating when temps were over 95.

People love they can get it from Amazon quick, but it's $250 that way. Direct from Lectron it's only a bit more than A2Z's (if you use coupon code FORDFORUM), but the kicker is when you want the Destination Adapter also, and A2Z's is only $67.50 when ordered at the same time as the Typhoon Pro. For a top quality set of adapters, that deal can't be beat IMO.

yeah that's really the only way this could work. I'd bet we'll be seeing alot of these come up on ebay from previous owners who ordered and later sold their cars. But surely it'll be a stocked item once all the order ones are shipped.

This right here. ?

Unless you have tons of patience, I waited three months, ordered a hour after the offer dropped. Would not be surprised if you saw it next year at this point. You could buy an adapter for a road trip right now and rationalize the purchase with gas savings. It opens up tons of extra options that will make your road trip $193.50 better.

Is it possible Ford has changed their view on this?

I ordered the NACS adapter in early March and sold my Mach E to a national dealer about 3 weeks ago. I believe it was purchased by a buyer today as I received a bunch of reset notices via email.

I logged into Ford.com to check my NACS adapter order status and the order no longer appears.

Actually they won't switch it under any circumstance. Bought my Mach E in Feb. Previous owner traded it in early January. He still had access to the ordering portal on March 1st and ordered it. Sent Ford all the documentation showing I owned the vehicle when the ordering portal opened. Ford says too bad, so sad you get to buy one from us in the fall.

Had you gone in and claimed the VIN, it wouldn't have been an issue on Feb 29th.

If the original owner ordered the free adapter you will need to buy your own. Only one free adapter per VIN.

I have a 2023 MME GT and a 2024 MME RALLY.

my 2023 GT ford emailed.
my 2024 Rally I ordered off of the ford pass app.

I am soooo sick of EA that I bought a Lectrom adapter. I LITERALLY. RECEIVED IT IN 4 days. It is AWESOME. I ONLY use Tesla charging because I ALWAYS start around 144 and NEVER go below 111 the ENTIRE time. I can charge from 30% to 80% in less than 15 minutes. You
