Pray on, wipe off with a clean lint-free towel. It'll be dry by the time you move to the next section.

Thanks. I watched another video of process so I'm familiar with the basic concepts just not the minute details. I don't think a professional detailer is needed for this as I've put on clear coats before (Turtle Wax "ICE" line of products). I'm sure the ceramic coating will have it's own specific instructions (like when to wipe the coating off, etc.).

I used Avalon King's Armor IX on our ranch runabout. Just followed their directions and forced myself to be very precise and wipe off the coating at the proper time. Turned out great.

I was wondering what all the hubbub was about with these "ceramic" coatings until they explained it was silica dioxide or glass as we know it. I don't know how they got this to bond with the paint but that's above my pay grade. It fills in swirl marks (which there won't be any with a pristine new car) and I think the clear coat is already pretty smooth. The end result is amazing. The product I'm getting is 10h because it's 10 microns thick. Lasts 2 years. Hope the coating resists automated car washes because I use them at certain times of the year (winter, especially).

I really want to cover the front end and rear under the hatch, along with tinting the windows. I am trying to save up now. Timing for this arrival has not been the best. Out of work because of Covid since May has really curbed spending and saving money.

It doesn't fill in swirl marks it just helps protect against new ones, for best results you still need to polish immediately before application.

Thanks. The car will be brand new so I’m not polishing it! I’ll clean it with alcohol/water mixture after washing it per ceramic coating instructions.

Ha, I interpreted it as only a few inches from the edge of the fenders & hood, so not much coverage at all. Really need a picture or a more detailed description of coverage area to know for sure.
