Hey all! Proud new owner of a 2024 Mach-E GT in Star White Metallic Tri-coat. I’ve had it for (1) week and a couple of days, so it’s very new to me.
I washed it yesterday for the first time (by hand) and came across all these little brown spots on the hood. At first, I thought they were dried bug guts from some highway outings. As I washed it though, I realized they were not coming off and felt to be pitted. Photos below. It looks like rust to me. Dark center and a bleeding effect outward. The car was produced in July, so it’s (2) months old and not like it was sitting on a lot for forever.
Should I be concerned? These little blemishes are small (yes, you’ll have to zoom in), but they’re all over the hood. The rest of the car seems to be unaffected.
